hey guys.
I currently spend about 20% of my affiliate media buying budgets (mostly e-com, nutra, beauty, weightloss and click-to-call offers) on Tiktok, but given the talks about the upcoming ban in the US, I'm looking for alternatives for in-app platforms.

Any thoughts?

thanks!

I hope TikTok will win the lawsuit. If not, I will probably go back to dropshipping on e-commerce platforms like Amazon or continue to go back to Facebook.

I’ve been a lot of marketing agencies and they’re all pretty positive 1. TikTok will get an extension. 2. Most likely it will become an opportunity with trump to fix relations so he’ll try to revoke the ban

I mean at the end of the day hard to predict though, Americans love when they own the data to capitalize on and that’s really what this is about. So it may go through and get sold to an American group of investors. If so, you’d see an exodus of users and ad spend, imo

Tiktok is banned in several countries already.
I think UAE will be top performer for tiktok now.

let's consider the final decision, but if it were me, tiktok is just a way to find customers, prepare for the worst

There's no better alternative to TikTok yet. Don't worry, TikTok won't be banned. I'm positive about the situation.

My thoughts - I don't see it getting a full ban. Should be here to stay in the US.

Given the uncertainty surrounding TikTok's future in the US, diversifying your platforms is a wise move. Some alternatives to consider:
  • Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts: Both platforms are rapidly growing and cater to similar audiences.
  • Pinterest Ads: Especially effective for e-commerce and beauty niches.

Consider shifting budgets to Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Snapchat for similar in-app performance marketing opportunities.

Use a proxy or a vpn or something so you can use tiktok from another VPN. But also is it an outright ban? I thought they were just removing it from the app stores? i could be wrong. i havent looked into this as much

I don't think it will be banned, but there are YT Shorts and IG Reels as the main competitors and alternatives for this kind of social media platform.

Maybe you could connect through vpn and continue you business model in other countries

My best alternative to TikTok right now is Snapchat. I already have some winning campaigns there

You can start checking instagram and see if it works for you but I don't think tiktok will be banned more like restricted in a lot of ways of will set rules like tiktok can stay but ask for this remove this block this options and Tiktok gives a lot of people in the usa work so will be a really good hit in the economy of a lot of people and everything can go wrong from there.
