I’ve been using various marketplaces for a while now and have mixed feelings about Facebook. It seems like a good platform for selling higher-priced items, but sales are relatively low regardless of pricing. Does anyone have advice on how to grow Facebook into a main income source? I’d appreciate your help—thanks!

FB is a social network so e-commerce is just a small part of it. I see that on FB, you can run ads to earn better income, but making money from natural traffic is much worse.

On FB you will sell less products but you can sell at higher prices and have less competition. If you build a personal brand on FB, it will be easier to sell, or you have to run ads but However, it is necessary to optimize costs because advertising on Facebook is also very difficult now

Yes, you can use Facebook ads to promote your products or services. With Facebook ads, you can directly reach your target audience & increasing your sales chance better!

Yes, As long as your product don't break fb rules & Terms.

In Meta Ads Manager, you can have your ad appear in Marketplace. For that

- Create a Facebook Marketplace listing
- Create an ad in Meta Ads Manager
- Select your ad objective
- Choose your target audience

I thought this was only for shops. Thank you for your advice!

If you want to sell on Facebook, you should run ads to reach your target audience. This will increase your chances of selling more products

Facebook can be a strong platform for selling higher-priced items, but growing it into a main income source requires a strategic approach. First, optimize your listings with high-quality images, detailed descriptions, and competitive pricing to attract serious buyers. Use Facebook Marketplace and relevant buy-and-sell groups to expand your reach. Second, leverage Facebook ads to target specific audiences interested in your niche products, focusing on retargeting and lookalike audiences to improve conversions. Third, build a dedicated business page to establish credibility, showcase customer testimonials, and engage followers with valuable content. Finally, consistently analyze your sales data and adjust your strategies to align with what works best for your target audience.

You should learn more about it. If you want to sell products on Facebook, you will have to run ads to reach customers. Running ads does not always close orders and product sales. You need to learn more about it, to avoid wasting money and psychology.

Facebook Marketplace can be an effective income stream, but its performance depends on various factors, including product selection, pricing strategy, and marketing efforts.

my advice to you is to try multiple platforms, facebook is just one way to reach your customers, whatever platform your customers use, you should be there.
Measure the revenue from the platform and just increase the budget for the platform with good high revenue. Good luck

Dont make these social media ad network your main income source, if some day mark woke up and decided to fuckup things, your income is gone. Though you can work on increasing sales number. The only way is by using ads, groups or pages paid posts, it can be video or regular posts or by creating content or using multiple profiles. Choose your poison.

First of all, you need to deal with Facebook ads as they have become the culprit lately. then create a page under your personal brand, design it beautifully, write high-quality text, this will build trust in you and help increase sales.

Facebook is a large, multinational community with many users. Of course, when selling, you will also encounter many competitors, but you just need to know how to optimize advertising, create interesting content, and offer reasonable incentives. You can absolutely make money from Facebook.

Facebook is still a growing social network with a very large customer base

Focus on optimizing your listings with clear photos, detailed descriptions, competitive pricing, and consistent posting, while actively engaging in local buy/sell groups to boost visibility.
