Help Needed to Remove a Google Article

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to help a client remove their name from a news article linked to a court case. I managed to contact a journalist from the site, and they edited the name in their article. However, another journalist keeps updating the case details with the real name, and the journalist I contacted said they can't help anymore because the others would find out.

The issue is with a single article, and since I’m based in Europe, I’ve submitted multiple requests through Google’s Right to Be Forgotten form. However, Google responded saying that, in their opinion, the article is important to the public opinion and cannot be removed.

Has anyone dealt with something similar or knows what else I can do to resolve this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can't do anything unless it's defamatory to your client. Then you can move legally. But if it's something bad about your client and it defames then and only then you can move legally.

It's not really defamatory. It's just the details of a court case.

I speak like a person which job is removing articles i ussualy removed (deindexed many articles) in past from google search and bing. And DMCA method is only stable for me and my advice is dont even try to remove it from source because thats only owner can done and they will never done it.

Perhaps you could re-contact the editorial team or reporter and try to see if you can seek anonymization.
