yep, that's right. not a lot of people are aware that you can make money volunteering your body in clinical research trials.

it isn't nearly as creepy or scary as it sounds. before i found internet marketing, i was doing these every couple of months. i've completed 5 studies already, for a total of about $12,000. i've tested morphine, fentanyl, and fenofibrate (which is already prescribed to millions of people worldwide).

you just go and stay at this place, they give you the drug, you chill, play video games, surf the internet, watch movies, play pool (they have pool tables), sleep or whatever else you wanna do. you usually have to stay overnight one or two nights. a lot of college kids do these on the weekends for extra cash.

if you are scared of needles then this isn't for you, because they will take blood draws at specific timed intervals after dosing.

if anyone is interested in this, it's a great way to make quick cash when you really need it. you can sign up and have the cash in your hand within 3 weeks.

i feel completely safe when i'm in there, i've never had an adverse reaction and the worst thing i've ever seen happen is someone throw up after taking the morphine (common side effect). you aren't all drugged out, laying in a hospital bed. you are free to roam around the building (can't leave though) and you can wear whatever you want, it looks nothing like a hospital inside except for some of the medical equipment (such as the thing that takes your pulse and all that).

they have the buildings furnished with couches, bean bag chairs, big screen plasma televisions, xbox 360s, pool tables, dorm rooms, desktop computers with high speed internet, etc.

if you're interested, check this website out, it's lists all the US clinics and the available studies, as well as gives you a little more insight as to how this all works.

edit: the fentanyl and morphine were FUN, i would have payed THEM to take those lol

Yeah and what about this incident that happened in the UK where the patients nearly died and are now scarred for life.

Its all good when the trials go ok and you have no adverse effects but what if one time you get a problem and that problem scars you forever.

Thats exactly why they pay you so much, because of the high risk. What you are doing is all a gamble.

Anyways, I'd rather continue making money online but for the people who really need money, then maybe this is an oppurtunity for you guys.

well before you sign up for a study, you go to a screening, where they give you a packet explaining everything about the drug in full detail, including side effects and whether it's been tested in previous clinical trials.

i've never done a study that i felt was unsafe, and never will. the studies i did were bioequivalency studies, which means that they were testing a generic version against the brand name version.

i was testing a drug that is already prescribed to millions of people worldwide. of course there's always that small risk, but if you are smart about the studies you do, the chance of something going wrong is very, very small.

edit: one of the coolest studies i've ever heard about was when they were doing a study to test the effects of valium mixed with vodka. some people got paid something like $3400 to sit around, drink vodka and pop valium.

Shit, i've done that for free...

This stuff always reminds me of Woyzeck (or Wozzeck).

Well if they are giving you stuff that has been given to millions worldwide then whats the point in giving you $$$$ to do a study.

Do you know of any other sites where I can find places that do this? My state has nothing on that site. :(

They are test studies...
They do them for stats...
people always say this and that, but never have proof...
Hence the test study...

I think I'll stick to making money on the net rather than putting myself at risk in any way. I guess I love my life too much lol.

i just said they were bioequivalency studies, they give you the generic drug and then compare it to the brand name drug.

Still, long-term adverse effects may not be seen intially but in the future, something could show or happen so for me, its just not worth it.

Each to their own I suppose.

I live near one of the largest and best hospitals in the world, Addenbrooke's

Every now and then people do actually die doing drug trials. Because its local we get to hear these stories even though the might not get massive media coverage. Even canabis based drugs can be deadly:

Even though it might sound like a lot of fun too. The trial is "trial" for a reason.

yeah, you're right, i mean i'm not denying the fact that these things happen. i know they do, but in my experience i've never seen or heard anything at the clinic i participated at.

i guess it's best to stop while you're on top, right? once i started making money online i stopped doing those.

if i ever stop posting on BHW, it's most likely because i'm dead, and then you can say "i told you so" :)

I remember reading an article about a student who was paid 10k to have his toe cut off and then reattached the big worry was that it was with a student doctor. I do a lots of market research for McDonalds it does not pay as much as medical trials but aways good to test the new burgers and stuff as well as to try and influence them on the price and what go's in to them :-) always voting to have more pickles in them or spice sauce :-)

be careful, those things could kill you :P

Interesting idea, but I have to say I like the name of the website... drugspay.com, thats hillarious but to the point, lol!! I think I'm gonna go check it out now, thanks!!

I just checked some UK clinical trials and I have found some that pay quite well but I dont think I'll be doing any of that unless I somehow get broke ;-)
