I´m using the "Personal Plan" from WordPress to keep costs at a minimum, until I have the impression, what I´m doing will be able to pay for itself. The niche is whiten the health space, the traffic is generated by me personally sharing the link inside of various Facebook groups.

The articles I wrote are of informational nature and are in no way related to any product, that can be advertised for.

Since I am on the basic plan, I have no idea, if I´m ranking for any keywords. I´m competing with some pretty big platforms for the subject as well. I´m curious what people with more experience think of my progress so far? The articles were overall well-recieved in the Facebook groups, and earned me "top-contributor" status from the engagement.

I would like some advice on direction, am I wasting my energy by rinsing and repeating this? My current understanding is that Facebook is a great source for high-trust backlinking, I also seem to have had people share the article on BlueSky, a media I never used myself. Someone, ONE person did manage to find my article(s) through Google, is there a way to investigate any potential keywords I managed to rank for?

Not at all. The strategy of using Facebook Groups for exposure still works, but, to achieve long-term growth, diversifying your traffic sources and improving your SEO strategy will be key.

Is the strategy "valid" enough to base an initial period of growth on? I was thinking about doing this for some months, as the primary traffic source whilst making educational posts, which can later be monetized. I suppose rinsing and repeating the Facebook group method will eventually help me rank organically for low-competition keywords over time?

Very curious to hear if anyone has found success doing this

Yep, Facebook Groups still work. But if you want steady growth, it’s smart to branch out and focus more on SEO too.

You should first start checking if you are ranking for keywords or not.

OP hasn't visited this forum for more than five months, I don't think he will be reading the answers
