Hi,

I'm wondering if my adsense earning are normal or not. I usually only using adsense for youtube where RPM is quite good.

I don't use Adsense a lot but I tried it for this website. My website receive 500 unique visitor per day and I make 0.4$ to 0.5$ per day only which is pretty low.

Even clics are making 0.1$ or something.

My website is about a country. General information about this country.

I let adsense choose the best position for ads.

I have ads on header, footer, sidebad and inside article.

If your traffic comes mostly from tier 1 or even tier 2 countries then your earnings are too low. You need to either switch ad networks or optimized your ads better.

But if your users are from tier 3 countries, your earnings aren't much different from what I've seen.

The number of users/traffic is not everything, the purchasing power of their country of origin plays a huge role in how much you earn via display ads.

My best combination for adsense ads after experimenting on many sites is along with auto ads, have at least 3 manual units, "responsive"
One before content, one after 1st image and one after content, ad units along with images tend to get highest clicks. This should help in getting better RPM

Hi there,

For 500 unique visitors per day, earning $0.4 to $0.5 isn’t uncommon, especially for general informational websites. The RPM and CPC can vary significantly based on your audience's location, niche, and ad placement. Since your content is about a country, it might attract a broader audience with lower ad rates.

To optimize earnings, you could:

  1. Analyze your audience demographics to understand the CPC potential.
  2. Experiment with manual ad placements in high-visibility areas.
  3. Consider diversifying revenue streams, like affiliate marketing or sponsored content.
Keep testing and refining—it often takes time to find the best setup!

Should I block low paying advertiser or not ?
No need to block anyone, just try manual ad units, it always helped me boost earnings a bit, and would love to hear about the impact on your earnings

Ok, while trying to fix things with Adsense by optimizing your ad sizes, positions etc. I would highly recommend you move to journey by MediaVine, most people see upto 3x increase in revenue. Applying won't hurt you in anyway, so give it a short.

I will report back after one week. Thank you :)

I tried Ezoic and it slowed down my website heavily ann made me lost some ranking.
Is Mediavine the same ? Do I need to use their DNS too ?

how can i post tutorial . i posted it but i got a warning that says selling but its not for sale its free

No, just install one code in your header. That's all.
Alright, thank you.
I will give adsense a try for this week with new ad placements and if it's still the same, I will try Mediavine.

Mediavine takes between 2 weeks and month to approve, so to quicken the process, why not apply while fixing your adsense. You don't lose anything.
Good luck with whatever option you go with.

Oh, I didn't knew that. I will apply today.
Thank you for your help.

Perhaps you can try to manually adjust the ad position and place it in a prominent position in the article.

try another ad network some times adsense become trashy
Someone told me to use mediavine but I will have to wait 30 days because they need google analytics stats and then I will apply.

Do you know any other network ?

No ezoic please :D

Just an update regarding this website.
I made a lot of modification about ad placement but earning didn't changed and rpm is still very low with adsense.

The good news is, I have been accepted by journey by mediavine Today.
Let's see if the rpm is better
Cheers

General information niches often have low CPC due to limited advertiser competition. You can optimize by targeting higher CPC keywords, improving visitor engagement, and experimenting with manual ad placements instead of relying on automatic settings. Diversifying monetization methods, like affiliate marketing or sponsored content, could also help increase revenue. Review your analytics to ensure you’re attracting quality traffic that interacts with your site, as this can impact your earnings too.
