Is POD t-shirt method dead? - Need Suggestions

Can anyone with experience mention what needs to be done when you start a POD t-shirt for business (men and women). I've done the following but the results aren't encouraging:

> catchy designs & slogans for tshirts (original designs + few popular slogans. Most of the designs are original). Categories include, sports, funny, music & pets
> Built a site which looks good and have integrated different payment options except COD
> Created FB/insta pages for promotion with daily posts.
> Ran advertising campaigns for likes and follows for the page (got decent amount of traction)
> Running launch offers

It's been over a month now but the sales aren't encouraging. I'm wondering what more should i do or what is it that im missing? Is it that I just need to be patient and give it more time?

What is your inventory number look like? How many platforms are you selling on? What is your total online product listing number?(designs x platforms)

What DOES sell? if there was 2 or 3 stand out designs that rack the bills in, what niche are they exactly in? Try and run with trends that you pickup from youtube or reddit, they are the best 2 spam free platforms to get viral ideas from. (I don't know if tick tok really is, I just know its probably the best Chinese malware on the market lol)

Thanks for your feedback. Since it's print on demand using a vendor, inventory isn't a problem. Right now selling only from my website and promoting on FB & instagram. Haven't explored trends from reddit. Will check that out. Also, I've just started running ads on reddit. Thanks again.

Have you tried reaching out directly to influencers who are highly engaged? Maybe you could try reaching out first, starting small, like offering a trial or sending them a product for an honest review, to see if they can really connect with their audience in an authentic way.

Thanks for the suggestion. That's how I started the campaign but since the page was new and had very low likes, thought that was the reason for low conversion. Now that I have decent likes & followers, I've rolled back to driving traffic to the site.

Poor quality product photos can hurt sales. Perhaps you can improve the quality of your product photos. People want to see how a shirt fits and how good it looks when worn.

I don't think it can ever be dead. All you need is a unique way to sell these shirts. Unique ideas and unique marketing. Try being funny with your creatives. People are tired of an image of a shirt, make it funny and a video will do even better and get more sales!
