install seoquake plugin for firefox, check your competition backlinks with yahoo site explorer and see where their high pr links are coming from and create links on these sites too. this will help you way better.

i recommend you to get scrapebox first. after which when you scraped a blog page with high pr. Trim it to root and use site:domainhere.com to look for more pages of the blog and check for page pr with it

You can search forum and will find lots of list... There is a search bar please try to use it.. You may find some thing useful apart from list of blogs, there are list of .edu, .gov and other similar things and thousands of tips for promotion.. You can also try yahoo site explorer as PK suggested...
