a lot of scammers, and it's relatively easy to get to 100 posts and just farm like 10 accounts (just simple automation and AI can do that without any human interaction) and keep them for 60 days and than start scamming, rinse, repeat.... 1000 posts in the other hand needs some real focus and effort to reach and will be probably warned with spamming too much along the way or some kind of warning so only real ones will reach it which eliminates at least a few scammers (1000 is too much ? maybe at least 500 i think 500 is fairly reasonable)

AND.. for BHW membership price to keep everything running the same, you can just adjust the price for membership level and make it a little bit higher (serious people will still pay i don't think it will hurt to make it 199$ per year)

yes, I KNOW I HAVE ONLY 184 MESSAGES

sorry if it's the worst suggestion you've seen today but well i had to speak in behalf of some newbies haha

It will reduce the revenue of forum. Even selling on the forum will be hard as no one will bother to add 1000 posts.
Those not bothered to actively engaged should not have the luxury of selling in the marketplace

That will only increase the useless spam messages and will add to the workload of mods, trying to filter out helpful messages from spam.
kinda true if you look at it this way

for the revenue of the forum -> raise the membership price
for the "hard to sell" that's exactly the point we want to make it harder to eliminate even a small amount of scammers, if you're serious about selling and already have a standing business you can just hire someone to manage your account and reach those 1000 posts naturally, i just don't think scammers have the energy to do all that and no one with a real business will revert to scamming i guess right ? i don't know that's just how i think about it

Maybe a required escrow system for new sellers?.
Until they get a certain amount of feedback
I dont like increasing the amount to such a high number of posts.
Maybe this is already a rule but all communications should be done via the dm system here.
I notice alot of people just tell you to contact them via a telegram and dont say much util you use it.
Seems to me we need a easier way to report someone right away rather then a thread after the fact.
Suspicious activity should be flagged..I actually ran a website like blackhatworld for a while and was able to detect alot of the scammers.
They would come from certain ip ranges and have certain patterns they gave them away.
Dormant accounts should be disabled if they are jr vip until the owner contacts you from there valid email address/
Accounts they suddenly start a new selling thread or start selling via pm after being gone a long time should be tempory suspended.

I understand you are trying to give a good suggestion to keep scammers away from the forum, however, the truth is that make a forum "without" any scammer is not possible technically because forums are places where people are communicate together and as long as there are humans, there will be the good and the bad ones as well.

If a scammer can reach 100 messages in 3 days, he can reach 1000 in one week, so that's not a big difference. Also, 60 days is long enough for new comes to become a Jr.VIP.

I think the best thing members can do is having self-awareness about the scam-signs which keep them away from repeating the same mistake several times.

I don't think that it should be 1000 posts, but closer to 500 and increase the time requirement to 6 months instead on 60 days. Maybe even impose other restrictions such as no active warnings or infractions (or certain types or tiers of warnings or infractions).

That being said, this was suggested before, and got rejected many times, so I really don't see the reasoning behind suggesting it again.

Maybe an escrow system for new sellers could filter scammers without killing legit opportunities !

JR pricing has significantly increased over the years, especially when considering the quality compared to 5 or 10 years ago. (Old dogs know)

Additionally, this could inadvertently validate scammers, as it might create the impression that anyone who can afford the JV membership must be legitimate.

//# of posts .. If someone were planning to scam people, they could easily create 1,000 high-quality posts in a month to appear credible.

ESCROW is the permanent fix

Escrow sounds good. But i’m unsure if that will be the best solution. Who will work as Escrow Assistant? Who will trust in send lets say $1k just because BHW has Escrow?
That can conduce to more scams and implicate BHW on it.
People might know that they’re dealing with someone Not - Trusted just by the Newbie tag , but even with the newbie tag people still falling in scams .
Didn’t BHW thought about a internal - coin? Where people can exchange per $ and reverse , send the specific amount in Coins and seller can withdraw the amount in $ .
( If the deal was made properly ) if not the buyer can HOLD or report the transaction.

Something like that could work. Avoid scams and direct payments ( If you do direct payments , that’s your play )
I will develop something in xenforo local in my computer and try to share with the staff
