Hey guys, I'm just starting to create a site and am currently searching keywords on Semrush.

Then, I found a low-competition keyword that I would target. The KD is about 29% and says it will be easy to rank.
But I still do need to understand the backlinks part; my page, of course, will have zero backlinks. I am learning on-page SEO and implementing it onto the page.

Does that mean if I properly implement the on-page SEO, my page will have a chance to rank 1-10 on Google search without any backlinks?

It’s difficult to maintain a stable ranking in the top 10 on Google without external links.

How do you make the backlinks??
I mean, where or how to find websites for it?

Keyword difficulty scores aren't particularly reliable, you should be using these tools to review the top 10 ranking pages, then ask yourself;

- Can I match search intent that's demonstrated in the top 10?
- How many inbound links do the ranking pages have - you will need to replicate this.
- What's the overall page DR

Typically you want to see at least a couple of domains ranking top 10 with little to no backlinks to the ranking page, and they shouldn't have particularly high DR's overall. A site with a DR of 80 but no backlinks to the ranking page is still likely to outrank a site with links that has a significantly lower DR.

No it is not possible to rank without backlinks now. You need lot of backlinks to rank for good keywords. There should be link diversity as well

That’s great, mate... While you're holding off on a bigger budget, just make sure you're nailing the basics.

Many overlook internal links... they’re not as glamorous as backlinks but can really help Google understand your content!

Its up to niche wise, if your niche competitors having low backlink profile and still ranking, analyze their on page SEO and find some error, then you would be rank with good on page and quality content. Sometime Backlinks not necessary in some keywords ranking

You cannot get and maintain the good rankings without backlinks. Otherwise, what would have been the need the SEO companies ?

Agreed, but sometimes content is king in some niches, well! at the end Backlinks are needed for maintain growth.
