Reddit Accounts Keep Getting Suspended Right After I Comment

try to change to a different proxy provider, the problem is not from your comment

this isn't always true... i have 4 very aged accounts on my home IP. my girl's acct got banned... other 3 accounts fine. and they know they are "linked" (Reddit's term) because they sent us a message saying so.

my girl's acct got banned so i created her a new acct... just used a cheap VPN from a big company... the sort of thing that is super red flagged as an obvious VPN on all the checkers, and it works perfectly from day one... so who the fuck knows?

So I've been trying out auto-browsing to warm up my accounts since the browser software I’m using has an auto-browsing feature. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this? Could it affect the accounts?


Do mobile proxies work well for you? I’ve been using Outlook emails that I bought, and I’ve also registered a few Gmail accounts myself. So far, Gmail seems to be working better.


Do you have any recommended proxy providers?

I used a variety from different domains I have owned for decades. The gmail was the only one that didn't get banned quickly. I verified all the emails.

1. Linked Accounts: If you're reusing proxies or IPs that were previously flagged, Reddit might be connecting the dots between old bans and your new accounts. Make sure the proxies you use are truly "clean" and haven't been associated with suspicious activity.
2. Behavior Patterns: Reddit’s algorithms are sensitive to unusual activity, even if it seems minor. Upvoting, commenting, and sharing in quick succession can look automated, especially on fresh accounts. Try spacing out actions over days.
3. Account Warming: A month is a good start, but even then, avoid anything beyond light browsing or occasional upvotes during the warm-up period. Only gradually introduce comments, and avoid anything remotely controversial.
4. Quality of Proxies: Not all static residential proxies are created equal. Even "premium" ones can get flagged if they're overused by multiple users. Try testing different providers.
5. Activity Diversity: Act like a regular Reddit user—browse different subreddits, leave organic comments, upvote/downvote sporadically, and avoid patterns.

Sometimes, Reddit bans can be hyper-sensitive, especially if an account appears to be from a region or IP with a history of spammy behavior. If nothing works, maybe try using accounts created in your local environment without proxies to see if the bans persist.

I always check the fraud score of the proxy on https://scamalytics.com/ to make sure it's okay, but how can I ensure that Reddit hasn't flagged it before? When I purchase, I always note that I need one that hasn’t been used on Reddit before, but I can never be sure if I actually got such a proxy. Is there any way to verify this?

Btw, I use Static Residential Proxies from proxy-cheap and webshare. For browsing, I used to use adspower, but now I've switched to WhatsCRM.

no actually, im running 500+ accounts and it's only setting me back about $100 a month, cheaper than the browsers

However, I often run into issues with Reddit, and I’ve heard from others that mobile usage provides some extra protection.

I’ve tried looking into it, but I still don’t fully understand how it works, or maybe I just haven’t found the right app for it.

Hi guys, just venting my grievances.... I have a 4 year old account in good standing with over 6K of Karma, no rule breaking, I only post in a couple of mobile phone repair subs. Nothing political harassing or controversial, anyway as I was browsing and posting on Dec 20th, I got a red popup showing that ""We had a server error .. Account has been locked as a security precaution ... Change your password to unlock your account". I changed my password, but it's still suspended/shadow-blocked. It wasn't hacked since there are no posts made besides me.

There was no email or message with an explanation of why it happened or how to unblock my account. So I did some searching online and turns out that my account was "shadow-blocked", I can still log in and post but noone can see it besides me. The only option I read about is to fill out an "Appeal" form which I did, but as of today still suspended. This sucks, I put a lot of time and effort into helping others with phone issues, and now my over 6K of comments are also blocked.

For over 4 years I've been using my laptop with a single account and dynamic IP (no proxy/VPN), so the only thing I can think of if that my new assigned IP may have been blocked due to another user. I'm not going to create a new account, that's pointless, I had a good reputation people have trusted, and now it's all gone. Does anyone have any other suggestions besides the appeal and messaging mods?

Yeah, you're shadowbanned. I'm yet to hear of someone coming back from it. I've filed 200 appeals on one of my accounts just as an experiment, but no progress yet.

Thank for the reply.... well I'm just puzzled as to why this happened. I practically never post, never spam or engage in any drama/politics/links etc., I just help people in a couple of mobile repair subs. I have accumulated 6K karma in a year, and how it seems to be all gone. I'm not going to bother creating another account and risk losing it again, that's BS.
I have filed several appeals while I was still able to log in, but now it's showing wrong username/password or "Something went wrong.".
But here's the strange part, when I click on reset password, I receive a link by email, I'm able to change it, yet the new password is not working.
When I try to log in via my phone number, it sends a 6 digit code, I enter it correctly, but it's showing "Something went wrong. Please try again.".

I was reading some posts and comments by others in the same situation, and one mod explained that each account is like a small sub and sometimes server glitches can knock it out falling into a black hole. If I broke any rules, I would gladly own up to it and lesson learned, but I honestly can't think of one thing. smh
