No matter how good a piece of software is or what it can do, there is always one very fundamental flaw that exists even when you pay your hard earned money for a piece of software: Customer support almost always sucks.

You find yourself waiting days sometimes for a frigging email that still dosent solve your support issues and then find yourself playing email tag for days or weeks upon end, problem still not solved.

Im at the point now that if any software vendor dosent provide adequate support via phone / instant message / video conference or anything of the like, i absolutely will not purchase your software. I dont care if it will give me the powers of Superman.

These bullshit support issues make it frustrating even owning the software in the first place.

When you get a hacked piece of software, you already understand you'll get no real support. But when you pay for it now and still get bullshit support, then that piece of software fully deserves to get hacked.

The only time where this lax brand of support is somewhat tolerable are things such as info products, and certain services, where you dont necessarily need an immediate response. Software on the other hand though, ALWAYS has problems and ALWAYS needs constant or rapid support or else its a big waste of your money and time. If you cant get it, you're better off getting a hacked version.

Im done with my rant.

Well i am prepared to pay for software if i know its good but i prefer hacked ones :) Its the same and you have kept money for yourself :)

Point me to that software, I wanna buy it. I so wanna fly...hehe

Im just so fed up with software vendors dicking their customers when it comes to the issue of customer support. It is like the most critical element right next to the software itself. Vendors deserve to get fucked when they neglect this very important aspect of their business.

Cracking is about the experience, the kick and the fame you get. Not about support.

so, why hackers hack/crack software?

i sure the hacker is a good person who help us, God bless him :D LOL

I hear where your coming from. Ive paid for software before, and the only way i can get the owners attention is by phone; forget email, it just dosnt happen.

I pay for support and updates, not so much the program.

No support? Id rather give someone a few bucks to crack it then to pay 100+ for a license.

Well have you guys ever thought about the people who actually sit down, work out the concept and code their ass of so that YOU can just press one button and get gazillions of backlinks (hey xrumer, hello scrapebox)?

What do u think will happen if everyone uses only cracked software? Who do you think will develop new stuff?

I get sick if I read stuff like
There is NO paid software in my PC at all. :D

This is like "haha i dont pay for hookers, i rape their daughters :D :D"

I take it that you do not use many of the tools that we are using. ;-)

I've noticed that the cheaper programs (due to lack of popularity in the world) are hard to find and often that is what you pay for. The expensive programs Office, Windows, Adobe are all cracked.

I think about Xrumer in this case. I don't think it has been cracked. Many others have not been as well. But I get your point. I first look for cracked software. If I can't find it, I wait a long time. I look again. Then, if I need it, I will pay for it.

I hear what you're saying, but you have to admit that 90%[made up] of scripts/softwares suck. A lot of people get caught up in promotional campaign and end up buying crap.

My policy is, if your script/software does what it's suppose to do, then I want the author's updates so I'll pay for it. If it's crap and frustrating, then there's no reason to shell out $97 and wait until you feel like activating my product.

Just my 2 cents . . .

I would say mine is more like surprise butt sex. I'll pay if you're good and free of STDs, otherwise I run away :smileysex

Get a refund? That's what every serious software provider should offer...

Don't see your point here.. If the software is crap then there is no point using it (bought or cracked) anyway. If you are using it then you should pay for it. Period.

Your keyword there is should. But not all offer it.

That's the point of testing it out, to see if it's crap. It was a given that if people say it's crap around a thread, then you don't download it.

to be honest... i crack things just to have a good challenge. it teach's you something, its really great to be able to put a program together and take it apart... but knowing or learning how to make someone elses program cracked... is even better. because you never knew how it was built in the first place. so its a challenge

Yeah I'm one of those people. But I've never seen a dime from the sale of it, that always goes to "the man". The one who hired me to build the software, now days I have to work for half my rate because of all the H1B assholes they import from the third world.

So frankly, I could give a crap less whether their bullshit software get's hacked. I say let 'em have at it.

Software and coding is an art, and when done in an open source way it's a uniquely collaborative one that almost always produces a vastly superior product to corporate built software. It's like beautiful symphony with everyone playing their part in unison. Or if you like, a jammin' rock band playing tight and polished.

The world is made the better for it, I shouldn't have to pay a fortune to gaze upon a Van Gough or hear Mozart, why should I pay hundreds to use a software tool? The answer is I don't, the software will still get built whether people pay for it or not. The best software is made out of a love of the art of building it, not out of a love of money it can be sold for.
