Hello wanted to ask you guys about how u looking for new projects for alt coins example?

- how many coins you keep in portfolio maximum including btc eth if u hold them ofc
- how much percent of your portfolio usually is for alt coins/ risky coins what project is it/ btc/eth
- should we consider solana as alt coins or no?
- are you putting money into crypto every month?
- what you think about ai tokens and gaming related i saw nice project but i cant buy it on any platform only through their website on metamask i dont like that:/ is it normal for this new type of alt coins?

Those questions are not related to this time im asking usually how you are doing thanks im just beginner and trying to build portfolio i know its not good time but i want to prepare for next year

Yes, I put every month and same should be strategy of every crypto investor. Because it helps to calculate surplus money and then invest in crypto according to that. Financial risks are reduced this way.

I suggest you not to keep anything on exchanges. Keep everything in cold wallets. Recently a big exchange got hacked in India and they too money from users account to compensate for this loss.

But how to find now new good ai tokens or gaming anyone invest in that?

You can use crypto research tools like CryptoRank and DropsTab, them allow you to conduct professional research (for free, although they have PRO plan with additional features, but the free version is enough for starters). You can filter by Listing Date, investors and other relevant segmentation tools.

But all ai tokens im checking i have to connect wallet of metamask or something which seems sketchy to me cuz its no on binance or bybit etc

You don't need and you shouldn't connect your wallet in any place...I don't know what kind of token you are searching, but of course, don't connect your wallet with those random websites. If you want to buy a token, use a reliable CEX like MEXC, Gate, Kucoin, Binance, Bybit and so on

You can filter projects based on market cap. Like if you do not want much risk, invest in top 50 coins or so according to market cap.

Great questions for starting out! Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Portfolio Size: Many keep 5-10 coins max for diversification but manageable tracking.
  • Allocation: A common split is 50% BTC/ETH (safer), 30% altcoins, and 20% high-risk projects. Adjust based on your risk tolerance.
  • Solana: Yes, it’s considered an altcoin, but one of the bigger, more stable ones.
  • Monthly Investments: Dollar-cost averaging (DCA) into crypto monthly is a popular strategy.
  • AI/Gaming Tokens: It’s normal for new projects to sell tokens directly via their site or wallets like MetaMask. Just be cautious and research well.
Building now to prep for the next cycle is smart—focus on quality projects and stay consistent!

Alt coins we consider solana or solana we can consider as 50 percent its pretty good coin what coins we consider as alt coin and which as high risk also we count btc in those 10 tokens now i wanted to swap xrp to usdt on binance but there are some lags and cant any other good exchange ?

Also where to buy those ai tokens or gaming tokens i heard about bitunix

Need research brother, :) only research

There is no fixed number of coins I keep in my wallet at any time. I keep adding more with time. Sometimes I sell also when there is good appreciation.

Hi. I'm regularly putting money in crypto as I buy NFTs. A.I. projects and tokens are good.

i found bitunix cuz they have mcade but any alternative?

As a beginner you should invest/buy coins that are listed on most of the major exchanges.
Buying new coins that are not listed on any exchange presents a risk of the project being rug-pulled.
Before investing, you should do some research on that coin. You can use coinmarketcap or coingecko to check the coins Market Supply, FDV etc.

I usually keep 5 to 9 coins across a few focused portfolios. Right now, most of them are sold off, except for meme coins. Surprisingly, that’s the only portfolio that outperformed Bitcoin.

So think twice before loading up on random altcoins. None of my diversified portfolios ever beat the simple strategy of just holding Bitcoin.

As for Solana—it’s an interesting system, but keep in mind, the crypto market is only 15 years old. The top 10 coins have changed countless times, and there’s always been some ‘Solana’ that everyone forgets later.

If you’re putting money into crypto monthly, don’t expect huge returns. Look at MicroStrategy—they own 2% of all BTC, yet they only made about 10% annually. That’s less than you’d earn on the stock market.

AI tokens? They’re the only assets still deep in the red after the crypto winter and haven’t bounced back. None of the startups have shown convincing AI use cases in crypto yet.

And don’t buy coins through Metamask if they’re not on an exchange. These are new, unproven assets. If you want to invest smart, buy the most used coins for retail payments. Payment processors that handle crypto for retailers won’t support tokens nobody uses. Some of these processors, like Cryptomus, even let you open a wallet, making purchases cheaper with lower fees or through bonus programs. That’s where the real value is."
