Know of a better YouTube Ad Blocker?

The three main youtube ad blockers barely work now.

Every time I load a video it still plays the commercial but it just speeds it up.

So I no longer have a "smooth" loading YouTube experience with no ads.

Anyone know of a workaround?

Are there any deals or workarounds on Premium?

I use it on my computer browser, never watch YouTube on mobile or Android TV, try it out as I have no idea.

It's an issue with Manifest v3. Basically, Google decided to limit the number of rules extensions could provide to 10,000, where ad blockers need 100K+ rules to operate effectively.

One recommendation is to use Firefox, but Firefox is measurably slower. If you want to use Chrome, I recommend using Thorium. It's an indie fork of Chrome that stays on Manifest v2 and will keep all your Chrome settings, extensions, and configuration. The existing ad blocker extensions you use should just work. However, I haven't tested this *recently* because I've been migrating all my home networking to virtualization so YMMV.

It's great. My go-to browser for everything now purely because of this.
