I think it's overpriced. .io extension is not as widely known as .com where it could sell itself easiy.

Whatever product would be built on it would still have its users typing fluid.com instead of .io

Quite possibly because some business needed this exact domain. I have seen domains getting bought for xxxxx$. This was six figures, but still… it’s nothing when it comes to investor money.

Fluid.io...with this name, I think it's possibly a crypto project and they usually have a good amount of money to invest, it wouldn't be a problem for them, since fluid.com would be even more expensive
