Trustworthy Domain Registrars?

Can anyone recommend a Domain Registrar(s) that does not register and price a Domain (without your involvement) soon after you have checked the Domain for its availability?

I have heard that Godaddy and Namecheap do this.

I mainly register at Spaceship. They often have promo codes and in general low prices. If I'm not mistaken they are subsidiary company of Namecheap.
Also Porkbun, Namesilo and Cloudflare

I don't believe that Namecheap does that, but if you feel more comfortable there are alternative like Porkbun and Namesilo

As far as I know, most Registrars won't do so, the registrar's main responsibility is to offer domain registration while not self-registration
