How to get different subnets on mobile proxies/mobile data?

I have 10 SIM cards from the same provider and now noticed all of them have same subnet which I learned is not good after reading some posts here.

Do I have to rent offices in different cities to get more variety in subnets? Any other way to force carriers to give different subnets? Or how are proxy sellers doing it so not all dongles have same subnet?

Bro you should Consider different carriers even within the same city, different mobile carriers might have different IP ranges and subnets. Try getting SIM cards from two or three different providers. Maybe it will help or use reputable proxy provider that offers residential or mobile proxies with a wide range of subnets.

Yes, you need to have offices in different locations. ISP's have different internal network management rules, so there could be a big subnet for a whole state or they may divide it on to several subnets for each big city for example. There are no common rules.

some modems allow CELL LOCKING where you can force the modem to connect to only allowed set of cell towers. This way, you can increase probability of getting an IP from a wider range.

I mean if you want to run a farm of 100 dongles, that would mean you need dozens of offices across the city/country?

So most proxy providers with those flashy pictures of their hundreds of dongles in one office are all on the same subnet? (Maybe different carriers, but that’s still just 3–5 subnets) No wonder it’s hard to reg accounts with them

For example Proxidize seems to have a good reputation on the forum, yet they show such pictures of sometimes dozens of dongles in the same spot.

But I would think in very crowded/touristic/big cities it can make sense since a single cell tower could have a lot of different subnets? What's your take on that?

Can you elaborate on this? From what I understand, carriers typically only have 1 cell tower per location. They might overlap at some points, but I don’t think you can ping that many towers while staying in the same location.

in big cities towers are at every 200..500 meters. And they overlap a lot. And mobile equipment can choose what cell tower to attach.

I'm in a major city and have a few SIMs that I use for proxies. When I rotate, ones from the same carrier will have the same first 2 octets but the last 2 will be different, so not on the same subnet.

This thread has made me curious about how many IPs are active here and also about where the towers are since they're not visible like suburban or rural ones. I think I'll bring a couple phones with me next time I'm out and check at various distances to see if the IPs change drastically.
