No, it's not about putting all your eggs in one basket. It's about not spreading yourself too thin. You don't even have enough eggs as yet to be distributing to different baskets. Which is why you should put all your focus into one thing at first. After you have built up that income stream and is comfortable, then you can start looking at other things. I'm speaking from experience here, I've done multiple things at once before and I've focused on just one. And I see the most results when I put all my focus into one than spreading my energy trying to do multiple.

IT product. I am a programmer, I worked a lot in some niche. At first I wrote software for myself, for traffic arbitrage. Then I realized that it was more profitable to sell technologies rather than work myself.
It is better to sell maps and shovels to those who are looking for gold, and not to be the one who is looking for gold)

I wouldn't be so categorical. When there are quite a few options, you need to take several into development at once. No one knows where a shot might go off. At the initial stage, however, it is not difficult. Over time, the unnecessary will be weeded out. That's when it will be necessary to work clearly in one direction.
