Pages disappearing from SEPRs

Pages om my two websites keep disappearing even though they're shown as INDEXED in GSC. For one of the websites it's been this way for 9 months now. What solves it is submitting those pages for reindexing. Then they show up in SEPRs again. They're also pages that sit in SEPRs with no issues at all. All of that DOESN'T affect the number of impressions and clicks. I don't see any drops.

I noticed that it might have been triggered by adding lots of pages fairly quickly and asking Google to index them.

What do you think, guys? Any reason to be worried or try to do anything about that?

Google always indexes my pages when asked for it in GSC. They do it right of the bat.

It sounds like Google may be temporarily de-prioritizing these pages, but as long as clicks and impressions aren't affected, it's likely not a major issue, though maintaining a steady content update and reindexing strategy is good practice..

My guess is, it's happened since those pages don't offer anything beyond what's already out there and I should improve the quality and uniqueness.

There's nothing to worry about if impressions and clicks are unaffected.

If it is not pure AI content then there is nothing to worry about, if it is pure AI and not humanized then it will trouble you in long term, since latest updates backlinks is also important factor, for my sites which loose indexing, i will put some backlinks, and add some low competition topics, this allows to get some quick spike in traffic, specially when you are working with trending topics, when this happens your old pages which are not indexing and maintaining rankings, will become indexed and stable, i have seen this behavior from time to time on my multiple sites

Yes, it does. It started when I focused on adding 3-4 pages a day whilst there was no issue for months.

What do you mean by that? I use GPT solely and lost of my pages are ranking really high and fast.

Sounds like a temporary glitch! Since reindexing works and no drop in clicks/impressions, I wouldn’t worry too much. Just keep an eye on it!

Actually, it's been persisting on one of my website for over 9 months now. However, it got less and less severe with time. It looks like Google reacts to sudden influx of GSC submissions this way. It's happened to me twice, just when I started pestering them to index my pages. lol

Google prefers to find and crawl pages naturally through links and sitemaps. Submitting too often in GSC can look unnatural and might limit how often they crawl your site. Letting them crawl naturally ensures they focus on your site’s real value.

If the pages are indexed and no drops in the impressions, there would be no issue. Just update the content and request reindexing.

They get hidden not deindexed. These are pages with really difficult or low traffic keywords. At least this is how it looks to me.

I've examined the issue closer.
All the pages that got hidden had had a really low amount of impressions (1-3 within one month). I guess that's Google's standard procedure.

It's happened to another new website of mine. All had been cool till I submitted two requests in GSC.

Again, it doesn't lower the rankings or make Google deindex the pages. Moreover, some those "ghost" pages get a tiny amount of impressions (usually 1 a day).

It's just an unnatural behavior on Google's part and, even though I don't know what to make of it, I simply don't like it. lol

I've been persistent on one of my websites for ten months now. I don't know how accurate is my observation but it seems to me that when I stop submitting on GSC all goes back to normal in some time.
