Go to a site like flippa.com and see what is out there and what is selling. That should give you a good idea.

Just going to a free source on the net is not going to give you a true value because there are SO many factors that a free source just cannot give you. You need to use your head for this one.

Take all the factors that you see in those sites and compare and contrast it to yours.
You can get an estimate that way.

True no free service will give you fair idea of worth... Best idea of valuation will be on your earning... Usually 10-25 times what you making in a month (profit)... Range depends upon lots of factor...

The free services are rubbish.
I inputted my domain on 3 different sites offering free services and not one was slightly even near to the other, one valued it at around $12500.00, the other at around $800.00 and the other at around $178.00 !!!

i remember reading somewhere that when you try to get a loan using a domain as collateral, then you find out its true worth at the time
if that is the case- you will have to research, you could apply for a loan against it and turn it down afterwards.

Your domain is worth what someone will pay for it.

Those silly sites like webvalueate, etc are fun to play with, and see them rise as you make changes to your site, but are never accurate to any degree. I had a domain, I'd spent $6000.00 promoting, and it came back as worth $127.00 for 3 months before it finally jumped to 16,000 or something.

Figure out what the demand is for your keyword (hopefully it's in the domain name) then start fishing in places where the fish might be biting for those keywords.

Does is sound right when you say it?
how many words in the domain?
hyphens?
phone test (how does it sound giving it out over the phone)
is it easily brandable
how long is it?
