2 years ago I got banned off eBay.
I used to dropship Amazon products on eBay, which many people did and are still doing very successfully.

I had Amazon prime so the products would also arrive the next day.

I had some methods to find good products that I can drop ship and I was pretty successful even though my account was new and at the beginning had no reviews.

I listed my products cheaper than all the other people selling the same product and I still had at least 20-30% profit on each product and even 60% on some products.

I did that for 2-3 months and then randomly I got banned. There wasn’t a clear reasoning for it.

My account was ID verified, I gave all my real friends info on it, my real bank account was connected to it and I could even withdraw the earned money to my bank before I got banned.

After I got banned I quickly tried making a new account but those got instantly banned after a few days even without listing or buying.

Now it’s been 2 years. Do you think it’s possible that I contact eBay support and ask for an unban? Or would it be possible to just create a new account without getting instantly banned?

Why did the other people not get a ban? Is it because maybe I copied the product description from Amazon?

You will get banned instantly as they do an ip ban and they are very strict, the same had happened to me, I had also logged in to the acocunt from my friends house and his account also got banned due to me being logged in on his ip. You would need to find a workaround but ebay is a big hassle and very strict with bans so you decide if it is worth it in the long run.

Since when have you been banned? And when did you try to get on eBay with a new account again?

My ban was in 2022, so after almost 3 years do you think there would be a chance for me to start over with a new account?

I created a new account at the time I made this post and it’s not yet banned. I will leave the account and view some products like a normal buyer and try to list something a few weeks later if the account is still up

First things first....

Get a new laptop, get a new dongle and only use that dongle for that computer and never use the internet for anything else.
have you recently got a new drivers license or passport? if not get a new one. they don't check past names

set up a ltd company or company in your country, use a mail forwarding address or a registered address for the ebay account.

You'll be back on.

Does Amazon allow reselling ?
Yes depends on how you’re doing it. You can’t just list a product and when somebody buys deliver it directly from Aliexpress. That won’t work. You have to buy the products from aliexpress and ship to your address and then when customers buy from Amazon you need to deliver from your address to customer

Is a new laptop really necessary? Won’t a new IP address and a fresh browser do the same? Only thing the eBay website can use to identify your device is through cookies, browser storage and IP Address or maybe user agent.

I got a new ID recently.

I think in my country (Germany) it would be beneficial if I have a registered company to get back on eBay. But I think it’s to much paperwork if I even don’t have a guarantee if it will even work out

I wouldn't say necessary, but it's how i literally started a fresh no chance of tracking then. I then built my business up to £1 million a year on ebay in one of the niches that you have to apply for. then sold the business. and thats with me being banned before under my own name.

Make sure you understand eBay's dropshipping policy and what specific rule you violated, dropshipping from online retailers is often restricted

While contacting eBay support to request an unban is possible, it’s often unsuccessful unless you can clearly demonstrate that the ban was a mistake. Instead, creating a new account is a viable option, but precautions are necessary to avoid being linked to your banned account.

To do this:
  • Use an antidetect browser to create a new browser profile with a unique fingerprint.
  • Use a residential proxy to ensure your new account operates under a fresh IP address, avoiding association with your banned account.
  • Avoid reusing any information (name, phone number, email, or payment method) from the banned account.
Regarding your ban, copying product descriptions directly from Amazon could have been flagged as duplicate content, triggering suspicion. Ensure unique descriptions and better account hygiene in the future.

I’ve been seeing many Amazon drops

But I have to use personal information to start selling. When I was selling before I was banned I had to submit my ID before they can payout. And they checked if the name I gave on eBay was on my ID so they know it’s really my ID. And you also have to give them bank account information for the payout

Be careful trying methods to avoid detection. I do it too, I just mean that you can spend a lot of time and money and think you will be clear, but the detection is better than ever before!

Nobody is ever safe anymore if someone wants to spend the money or resources to find you or figure a mystery out. Think they cant find a missing plane with satellite view, or cant find where the criminal went after leaving bank, or cant break old as dirt encryption? Of course they can, they just dont care enough financially to figure it out sometimes!

Point is, they can decide to care at anytime and ban again, so diversify and have backup plans ready and not all eggs in one basket in this new era.

Someone could have complained when they got amazon box and realized they could have got cheaper, a competitor could have reported you, or like other member said, copied descriptions etc. There are many dropshipping stages beyond this basic model for you to use in the future.

Feel free to call ebay and try if you think you can smooth talk. Its just a regular person not HR and they want a good review from surveys sometimes. Hearing a voice lets them know its a real account and they trust lies sometimes because of it or dont care. I had convinced them many times to raise all my limits for no apparent reason or need. Unless you have no ratings or history worth saving on that account, then you could focus on the new one promptly.

You can use debit instead of bank account.

Good luck!

Just a quick question. I’m creating a new ebay account soon with a family member’s info. I’m getting a new phone, new portable wifi that i’ll only connect to the phone. Every information will be different to avoid any linking between the accounts. My question is, if the address I put onto the ebay is a totally different address (from a friend) but the address attached to the id of my brother is the one that was previously used on the banned account, is there a way for it to get linked? I’m asking this because I know ebay will eventually ask for some sort of documentation and I want to make sure I do this right.

Edit: Could I just upload the passport of my brother since there’s no address that shows and the utility bill of the friend who’s address I’m using?

try with a parents id, or make a complaint about it, if you got banned because of the products you're selling, then maybe stop selling that?

You need a method to manage your account. Dropshipping is okay now! No problem

eBay is very strict with bans and enforces IP bans, so if you log in from a different location, like a friend's house, it could lead to both your account and your friend's account being banned. Finding a workaround might be challenging, and it's important to consider whether it's worth the effort in the long run.
