It's obvious that we are in the first phase.

My doubt: the second phase is still necessary? Will ETH pump before large caps? I know that there are some large caps pumping this week, like XLM, XRP, ADA, etc, etc...even so, it's not generalized. Not sure if I should invest in ETH or large caps before they start pumping like crazy

I'd like to listen some opinions from reputable members @splishsplash @Sol @growyourbrand @WAndreas @CloakerLy

The time to invest was 2022-2023 :-)

Sol was down to like $11..

Avax was at $9

Bitcoin was at $16k

doge was 6 cents..

Many of us are up 5x, 10x, 20x *already*

My advice is to just wait until the next bear, and buy buy buy.

You *can* buy now, sure, but you have to find new up and coming coins. It isn't easy, and I'm not doing it.. I'm just holding my bags until sell point.

This is the problem. Everyone gets all excited in the bull, thinking it's time to buy.

I thought I was early in my first run back in Feb 2021. I wasn't. Early was 2020. I learned from that, and made sure I bought up before this bull.

Even if you'd just bought in last Dec when things were hyping up.. Sol was only $72.

You'd be 3.3x up already, and sol will do another 2-3x from here, so you'd be looking at a 7-10x if you'd got in even then.

Early nov even AFTER it started to pump, if you'd decided to jump on it then you'd have gotten in at $45 and be up 6x already.

If you'd bought in Oct 2023, you got in at $20 and are now 12-13x up.

The guys who filled their bags at $11 are up are 22-24x.

It's hard now. There's no more guaranteed coins that are low. They're all up.

That's why I say you have to identify new projects now that are pre-pump, and this is a DIFFERENT game entirely. It's not hard to buy bitcoin, sol, avax and doge in 2022 when they're bottomed out.

That entire infographic you've shared should just be called "Exit Liquidity".

All the crypto guys have been through crypto winter already.

We've been out in the cold, trying to keep warm round the fire while everyone else was inside their cozy homes talking about how crypto is dead.

Now, we've filled our bags and everyone else is coming in to be our exit liquidity, but we call it "altseason" and give it all these lovely phases to make it look to retail like they're early, when really, they're years late.

Shit's not going to 20x from here ;-)

Bitcoin isn't going anywhere near $500k.

Avax isn't going to $500.

Sol isn't going to $2k. Even $1k is a big IF. Probably more like $600-$700. It's got a 3x in it from here.

Avax has a 5x in it from here. It'll go to $200 to $300, probably like $220-$230. I'll be out by $200.

Pepe isn't going to moon. It's already at an $8b market cap. What's left? $15-$20b max, but there's so many other meme coins. It's got maybe a 2x if you're lucky. I've already sold all my pepe and bought more imx.

Yeah, yeah, you are completely right. I started last year with micro caps, sold them (they crashed last months). Now I'm just trying to get some 5X here and there. Not trying to chase 100X and this kind of stuff. In the end if I find two 5X it's 25X. And I guess we still have opportunity to find some 5X-10X in Top 200 coins, no?

Later we also have micro caps to multiply money as well

Anyway, I'm trying to follow the right order...like, what will pump first? ETH or large caps? I'm also buying IMX, but I don't know if I should focus in ETH before or after coins like RNDR, IMX, ONDO, INJ, etc...

Hehehehehe.

"If I find two 5X it's 25X" :-)

You make it sound so easy!

But mathematically, those probabilities are very different.

Let's say you make 5 investments. Let the probability P(Y) = p where Y is a 5x gain.

So the probability of 1 of them 5x'ing is just p.

To calculate the probability that 2 out of 5 will 5x we use the binomial probability formula.

P(X = 2) = (5 2) * p^2 * q^3 where q is the probability of failure, or (1-p) ( the ( 5 2 ) bit is a binomial, vertical (), but I can't write it here )

If we calculate that we get

P(X=2) = 10p^2 * (1-p)^3

Now, the probability of getting 1 5x, and then 5xing again would be

P(X=1) = 5p - (1-p)^4

The probability of then 5x'ing is "p", so the probability of getting another 5x is

p * (5p- (1-p)^4)

= 5p^2 * (1-p)^4

Let's look at some actual numbers.

P(X = 2), if p = 10% is 7.29% (You can take my word for it or do the math yourself)

P(X = 1), if p = 10% is 32.81%

That means if the chance of 1 is 10%, and you make 5, you have a 32.81% chance of winning.

But, if you take that winner, which you had a 32.81% chance of, and aim to win again

You end up with p * 32.81% = 0.1 * 0.3281 = 0.03281 = 3.28%

You're asking if you have a chance to find 5-10x's in the top 200.

10x is HUGE.

That needs a 10x in marketcap.

The top 200, is 200 coins

What percent of them will 5-10x from here?

I don't know. You'd have to do an analysis by comparing to the previous bull run.

But it's not 200/200 that's for sure.

The problem is the current top 200, wasn't top 200 last bull run.

If we look at polygon..

It's #79 now. market cap 1.31b.

it's pretty low tbh. It had its lowest since the last bull 2 weeks ago..

Last bull it hit $2.6. It's currently $0.55.

Will it hit $2.50 again?

Maybe..

83% bullish on coinmarketcap.

It hit $1.27 in march.

It's probably a safe bet. I don't like advising people on what to get, because I don't have a clue. I just wing it and I'm just a little better than most, but I don't have any special knowledge, and I'm not doing any sort of deep analysis on this.

If it went up to $1.27 in March 2023, it must still have interest, so you could grab this now and sell at $2 if you want a safe 4x. It might 5x. It might 10x. No one knows, but that's into gambling territory. Although gambling technically doesn't exist. Or rather gambling just means you don't know the odds. If you know the odds, you aren't gambling, are you? :-) You KNOW the result. I know, 100% what the result of roulette will be. Or rather, I know 100% that the result will converge to the mathematical probability.

Calculating exact probabilities in crypto is hard. You can guess. I'd put polygon at going to $2 at 80%

going to $3 I'd put it at 60%

$4 I'd say 30%

You can set your own numbers and then calculate based on that.

That means if you invest $1k and get out at $2, you're going to win 4 out of 5 times and lose all your money once out of 5.

If you have $5k to invest, and you pick 5 trades where you have a 1% chance to 1000x, then you're going to lose your money P(X=0) = 95.1% of the time.

P(X=1), the probability of 1 hitting is 4.8%

So 1 out of 20 times roughly you'll get your 1000x.

That would mean, if you repeated this trade, it would take you about 20 bull runs to win.

It's all just probabilities.

The more data and the more advanced your analytics, the better you can calculate probabilities for each coin going to Z.

But.. Go for polygon and sell at $2. :-) If it doesn't reach $2, just hold till the next bull. It'll survive.

Edit: Just noticed your 2nd question.

All I can say is that every bull is different. We dont' know what the waves will be. You can monitor twitter, or you could create an AI bot to guess. Twitter is the key. That's the market sentiment.

Personally I don't like eth and wouldn't really bother with it. I'd just look for more top 200 opportunities to 3x to 5x.

Look for coins that

A) Pumped in March 2024.
B) Haven't re-pumped yet.
C) Are top 200 (A meme that pumped in March isn't necessarily going to pump again, but a top 200 that pumepd in March has a strong probability of repumping)

Not sure if I should invest in ETH or large caps before they start pumping like crazy
Greetings categorically, colleague! Honestly, this whole bitcoin rally looks like a bubble that we are inflating ourselves. The only reason for this can only be the creation of a bitcoin reserve. Not an altcoin reserve, but a bitcoin reserve. That's why altcoins aren't growing much. That's what I think. How it will actually be is a big mystery to everyone.

I would look for altcoins which have limited supply

The ones with unlimited supply are probably gonna inflate like dollars

On the contrary, if they're going to swell, they're the ones to take. Bitcoin, for example. The rate flew to the moon on nothing but promises.

My understanding is bitcoin is limited, that's why it gains value against dollar?

Nobody knows the exact order of those waves...maybe Ethereum will pump this week, maybe not, who knows. The fact is that altseason is coming and you should pick solid coins that you believe will perform well, don't need to try to guess the exact order

What about BNB ?

Or you can simply learn trading to make money in both bull and bear markets and not waiting for coin lottery tickets.

I'm also holding a lot of ALT, but the strange moves from BTC and the market make me wonder, could it be that... ALT season won't come?

I'm also holding a lot of ALT, but the strange moves from BTC and the market make me wonder, could it be that... ALT season won't come?

This here is why most people don't make money.

Fear. Panic.

Everything was LOW LOW LOW through 2022-2023. Most of you could have made an absolute fortune if you'd had some confidence.

Even NOW, people are still so unsure.

But I guarantee, once alts start shooting up, and everything is in FOMO mode, people will change that fear from "fear of buying", to "fear of not buying and missing out", and everyone will confidently buy everything up at over-inflated prices and get absolutely destroyed.

I refer to this video once again

For the average man, buying a $16k bitcoin is TERRIFYING. A $11 solana? Never. Too scary.

But give me a $100k bitcoin all day long and a $500 solana, and everyone will be fomoing in feeling safe that they're taking the same actions as the flocks.

Get out the damn flock, folks. The flock gets eaten.

You think Ethereum is going to pump? Ha! Good luck with that. The big money is already out. Ethereum is a slow-moving train wreck. Sharding? That's a feature they've been promising for years, but it's always just around the corner. And don't forget about those infinite ETH tokens. It's like trying to pump up a balloon with a hole in it.

I made my Positions Few Months Back in Spot

Leverage Trading I Do With my Risk Management and I Don't Recommend Leverage Trading

BTC, SOL is already Touched ATH (All Time High). At the time of Retracement i make entries that too in Parts. As My Main Investment Position is Already Done

Some Funds I Have for my Swing Trading (Buy in Red and Sell in Green) in Few Alt Coins like - SUI, Pepe, DOGE, etc. This is for my Weekly Investment Holding

My Suggestion is Learn, Do you own Research and Understand Basics

Manipulation and Liquidation is Part of Game

It won't go 200% up in a One Shot. It will always Consolidate, Retrace.
