Idea for a method - Has anyone tried anything like this?

So the idea I have was spawned from another idea posted here.

Basically, the other idea used a video link sharing site to post links to your own site where you host tv shows that are drm'd with Zango PPI.

I would like to combine this with using youtube.

Basically, I would rip all the hottest new movie trailers and tag them on youtube as full movie, rip, cam, etc.

I would also have a watermark on the video stating that since youtube does not allow copyrighted material, you have to visit my site www.xxx.com in order to view the entire reel.

I would then host a different version of the movie trailer at my site embedded with Zango, which should grant a decent amount of money.

Does anyone see any problems with this?

I also know that I would need youtube automator or something similar in order to promote the videos and get a decent number of views.

Any opinions on this?

I haven't used PPI much, but I've done something similar in the past with CPA offers instead of movie trailers/clips. In addition to the watermark on the video, be sure to include the URL in the "About" section. YT will convert it into a link so the viewer can just click to get to your site. There are actually quite a few threads on BHW for ways to make money using YT. Good luck!

Define CPA - you mean like people signing forms to get free consumer goods, etc right?

This already has been done with youtube and it's a pain in the ass because it takes thousands of visitors to hit your site daily in order to make some good money with it. It's much easier said than done. That's why I suggested using sidereel.

I was thinking of using that method in conjunction with sidereel.

Alright - Well im going to get on this method then. What are the chances of the copyright owners coming after you? Have you ever been sent nasty letters or been threatened with legal action?

I plan on signing up the website with bogus information and using a paypal account that is not linked to my bank account.

How does this DRM work with zango? They must install it to release the block on the video file? Also can the video be a movie? Does Zango not care about this copyright infringement, or they figure its your responsibility?

I tried putting trailers as full movies and the hits didn't grow naturally that fast, but I used the Panda Fu Kung movie. Buuuuut I am also still newb to YT..
