Well I've tried the various methods that have been discussed here regarding getting profile backlinks indexed and nothing seems to have really worked. 2 weeks ago I built like 75 profile backlinks to a site and I tried the following:

I made a rss feed from all the links, used RSSubmit to submit to rss feeds, pinged the rss feed and also bookmarked the feed on several SB sites.

I also made a new blogger account, post a lot of posts the first few days from Google trends, got it indexed, posted my rss feed urls in the links area, pinged the heck of the site, and did social bookmarking as well.

Now 2 weeks later when I do a backlink query in yahoo only like 5-7 of those 75 links show up. I was under the impression that using the above techniques would get your links indexed like in a 1-3 days at best.

I also made another 25 profile backlinks from the same sites that competitors used and that show up in yahoo explorer for them, but mine still have not showed up yet.

Do guys think these backlinks are indexed by G and just not showing up in yahoo explorer or other backlink check software? Is there a real way to check if the profile backlink urls have been indexed by G? What I have been doing is just doing the "site:urlofprofilelink" and see if it returns anything. Is that correct way to check?

Please give your feedback.

Just build more links after you have already bookmarked and submitted you RSS. Dont bother to get it indexed. Google bot will find it soon the natural way. :D

Have you tired making 1-5 posts on the forum the account are registered on?

is that important? kinda new to this. lol.

Posting on the forum creates a link on that site back to your profile page. The more links that are pointing back to it the more likely it will be crawled.

Having the same issues with profile backlinks. The problem is recent and I had no problems up until a couple of weeks ago.
