MetaMask: A Nightmare for a Newbie

I was loving MetaMask. One wallet for all my Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, and other EVM-compatible networks? Sign me up! But then the nightmare began. I got this error message saying "Transaction detected an error" or something like that.

I had enough gas, the network was correct, but I couldn't send any tokens. Swaps were working fine, though. Weird, right?

So, I decided to reach out to their support. Big mistake. Apparently, to get any help from MetaMask, you need to be besties with Vitalik Buterin. I spent half a day chatting with a bot that was dumber than a box of rocks. Seriously, in this age of AI, how is that even possible?

Thanks to some volunteers, I eventually figured out how to get in touch with a real person. But guess what? They gave me the same unhelpful answers as the bot. I gave up and switched to Cryptomus. At least there, I can talk to a human and they don't charge me for gas.

So, if you're new to crypto and someone tells you to use a non-custodial wallet like MetaMask or Electrum, run. Who's going to help you when you get stuck? YouTube videos? Please.

MetaMask is for the crypto ninjas who want to be in full control. Cryptomus is for the rest of us who just want to chill and use our crypto without all the fuss. I gave up on MetaMask. No one there could fix my issue. So frustrating! I might share the whole chat with the devs
 
If you are a beginner Cryptomus is a better option for you due to it's user friendly interface. For experienced users, those who want to interact with dApps, Metamask is a better choice.
 
Hey mate I'm a noob in crypto thanks for the advice I won't use metamask to begin my crypto journey.
How do you put your first coins in this wallet, and which ones ?
I'd like to avoid going through the CEX's to buy coins due to their mad kyc policies, so maybe I can buy some coins somewhere to credit cryptomus wallet to start trading ? Thanks

I have never had any problems with metamask. I like it very much.

MetaMask was a nightmare. I couldn't get my transactions to go through no matter what I tried. Support was no help at all
 
I had issue of blanking out on Metamask. I’ll open the app and it will just blank out. Very frustrating.

No way! I was so scared when MetaMask started messing up my transactions. I needed something reliable, something that could handle my crypto without any hassle. With Cryptomus, I don't have to worry about any of that. Zero fees for cross-chain swaps? That's a game-changer. I don't care about having the private keys as long as my funds are safe and I can use them whenever I want.
