3 years ago I switched to Ubuntu for a week, couldn't handle it and went back to Windows.
Then I checked out Void Linux and dumped Windows for good, has been a breeze since (except for Nvidia). Rocking bcachefs as we speak.

I've been using Linux as a daily driver since 5 years.

Have used almost all distros under the suoint but I currently use Pop OS on my laptop mostly because it has most stuff working out of the box.

I've been using Linux for so long that I don't remember what windows features I miss. Apart from the fact that I can't natively run exe files ig

Ubuntu, if I am using a linux. The next best thing for me is mac. Mac is linux without the headache for me.

Windows.. probably for gaming but I have more serious things to do normally lol. I have used it extensively for years before. I am not a hater but I don’t like it.

I switched to Linux 4 years ago and since then I have tried many flavors of Linux. Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, MX Linux, Kali Linux and Parrot OS are the ones I can remember right now.
But my current setup looks like this.

I'm using Ubuntu (Just for better hardware support, Nvidia drivers etc) with i3 windows manager.
I'm a keyboard lover guy so I love to do everything with keyboard.
In the browser I use vimium to control almost everything using the keyboard.
In the vs code I use the vim extension.

I honestly miss nothing about the bloated cheap windows and hope never will.

I use linux as my daily driver for almost 10 years now. I always have a Windows 10 VM to test stuff on though.

I tried a bunch of different distros but the one that i always find myself coming back to (and it is my current one) is Fedora with XFCE.

I gave up Windows in favour of Ubuntu and my pc is much more productive and I can write my own ngeo programs, customise as I like. Very high quality system. I'm a Linux fan now

Yes, for almost 20 years, and it's a terrible idea. This popped up on my YouTube recommendations today. Linus Torvalds, creator of the Linux kernel, sums up why Linux on desktop sucks, and I totally agree:

I don't use a specific distro, but I can help with many Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Arch, and Fedora. As for Windows features, many miss its compatibility with a wide range of software, gaming performance, and ease of use for beginners.

Moving to Void after you couldn't handle Ubuntu is quite some move. After some hopping I found peace with OpenSuse Tumbleweed still some issue with Nvidia/Wayland/Gnome, but now it's extremely good compared to what is used to be just couple years back. I have high hopes for Cosmic DE it might solve some of the issues I currently have, also some proper image editor would be nice.
