Hi all,

I've been burned a few times by seller that didn't deliver the product, what method do you use to fish out scammers?

Escrow service. They can't deal with it. Also, a reputable escrow service. Not a random one that he may created to scam people. If you use a reputable escrow service, they won't accept it.

You can't prove that they are scammers, because they will give excuses to avoid escrow, but at least you won't lose money.

sorry for your loss
open a dispute resolution thread if you didn't make so yet
and use escrow service next time, avoid non-upgraded members and chat here instead of skype, telegram, whatsapp or whatever

Hi all,

Firstly, ensure they JrVIP. Keep all conversations on BHW.

While these will not prevent 100% of the scams, it'll reduce it. Another thing, be clear on what you want and insist on it.

See their account age, if they have active BST, check their reviews, threads.

For example, if a person is responding to 5 unique WTB/HAF threads offering 5 different services, he is a scammer or low quality service provider, often a reseller. They can turn out to exit scam at any moment.

Go with the seller who put a lot of effort in BHW, his BST and detailed responses to customers. Someone who care all the time.

Escrow plus check seller profile.
There are scammers who only target to scam as much as possible in a short time so they get Jr. Vip don't make any post and just wait for someone to open a SL

Work only with those people who have a thread in the marketplace and who have good reviews there

apart from using an escrow, check before if their offer is so good to be true, compare with other sellers, check that is suitable and price is according, ask to 3rd parties if they have tested its services. Btw also take care because of feedbacks on threads, they maybe from op multi acc (even though it violates BHW rules) so just try all things before doing business with someone here also, and try to start conversation inside the forum
