Hubpages worth the effort?

Hi,

I see people recommending posting articles on hubpages to get backlinks. Their links are by default no-follow, but by getting a higher 'hubscore' they supposedly turn into 'normal' links.

Are the links from hubpages still worth something and worth the effort to get them?

Links from hubpages are not worth the effort of making a hub with a high enough score.

However, Hubpages has a quite astounding propensity to rank. I have a lot of hubs floating in the top 3 which carry my affiliate link at the top and make me quite a lot of cash.

Design your hubs to rank and earn cash in their own right, not to generate a few measly backlinks.

OK I forgot - how does one get their hub score higher? Is it like Facebook where people vote /like it up? If anyone could automate the process it would definitely make building hubs worthwhile.

all i can say is that you can rank very well even without the hubpage link.it is not that google bots are eager to rank the site which has a hubpage link.nothing like that at all.there are plenty of other ways to get links.

Just for the sake of link - no, but it's good to get visitors to your site. I had test hubs created with spin content (I honestly think it hurts to read) and people are still commenting on these pages.
