Hi I'm new to the world of cryptocurrency and I'm interested in getting started with crypto trading. How do I begin, and do you have any tips for someone like me who is just starting out?

Unless you know what you’re doing, you should just dump your money into BTC.

Don’t get hooked into shitcoins that serve no purpose whatsoever.

Also,
Get yourself a crypto cold wallet. The cheapest good ones cost like $60.
Trezors are great.

I know it'll make you feel bad but lemme break it to you. Crypto trading or trading in general is a longterm game, only come if you want to make money after 2 years with all experience, trials, errors. If you agree then go ahead if not then I would suggest you to stay away, use crypto just as a store of value (specifically btc) but don't start trading just because you feel like or you think its quick money double scheme.

Focus on other mediums of making money and invest in cryptos, don't trade.

I'll suggest learning first.learn technical analysis mate.

At first you can learn and analyse crypto.

Don’t buy memecoins unless you’re willing to go -99% on your investment.

If you are new to this (My all time suggestion for beginners)

Start with learning from YT from basic to advance knowledge and never jump into market into hurry without knowing what you really doing in fact unless you don't understand the market basic don't even think to try on demo to test out the water of market

Learn Basis to advance from YT
Join some knowledgeable groups
Start practicing on demo for atleast 3/Mo
After you think that can trade a but then just put $100 and start your Journey

Don't chase the money or market
Always chase the knowledge & you’ll succeed

Hi ! You have already written above that go to YT and look for tutorial videos. But also additionally I would recommend to go to binance exchange website in binance academy section - there are many simple descriptions in simple language - what is a smart contract, how to create a smart contract, what is liquidity, what is burning / locking liquidity. You should understand basic knowledge in the world of cryptocurrencies before you start investing. Yes you can start with real coins BTC/ETH/BNB but after another day I'm sure you will go to shit coins and there will try to make fast money, but to not lose a lot you need to learn basic knowledge about blockchain

Do you have enough capital to start? Ofc don't invest your live savings but heard a couple of succesful crypto people saying that you shouldn't think about crypto if you have under 10k to spend but no idea tbh

You'll get wrecked.

Starting 2 months before the biggest, most wild bull in the history of crypto..

If you want to be exit liquidity for the seasoned guys, then jump on.

Otherwise, sit this one out, learn crypto, watch it all, study it, and get ready for the 2028 bull where you'll have been buying up coins from 2026-2027 while it's all low and everyone is saying crypto is dead.

Focus right now on making money in business. Bank it. Study crypto. Get ready for 2026 when it's time to buy.

The most you could do right now is buy bitcoin at $90k and sell at $130k-$150k, but nothing is guaranteed. $150k isn't guaranteed.

How will this be the wildest bull in history if it reaches 250k as per your other post. There you’ve mentioned every halving it’s getting stabler with the peak to bottom ratios getting lesser. So will it not be less wild? What am I missing ?

What type of crypto trading are you interested in learning?

That's a good question.

Marketcap and price are directly related. If the price doubles, market cap doubles.

So think about this.

If the market cap is $10m, adding another $90m will be a 10x in price.

Now if the market cap is $100m, adding $90m will be just under a 2x in price.

If the market cap is $10b, a $90m increase is 0.9% increase in price.

Starting to make sense?

Bitcoin has a market cap of $1.75 TRILLION.

That would be a market cap of 5 trillion at a $250k price.

That would be $4 trillion coming into the crypto space on bitcoin.

In 2021, going from $10k to $69k was going from 200 billion market cap to 1.2 trillion.

Ie, it was about another trillion in money coming in.

Altcoins have market caps between $10m and $10b generally.

The low cap coins are anything from $2m-$5m to about $50m.

The mid cap coins are $50m to maybe $500m.

An $80m mid cap doing a 10x is only $720m coming in.

A $5m coin doing a 20x is only $95m coming in.

It's more money coming in, so crazy gains.

Bitcoin its self is MORE stable. That means that it's not going to drop as much as last time. That its self has nothing to do with how wild the bull run will be. Bitcoin is not going to drop to sub $60k ever again unless something highly unexpected happens, and even then it would be just a quick drop before its bought up.

Ahh the altcoins, makes much more sense now.

BTW what is your strategy in this bull? Hoard altcoins over every market cap range like some in small, medium cap and some in BTC or go all in BTC for lesser risk? What are some altcoins I must follow ?

just start buying and selling) for small amounts, it will be the best experience

It's already too late. The time to be prepping for the bull was mid 2022 to the end of 2023.

I started buying more bitcoin when it dropped to $30k, then bought more when it dropped to $25k and everyone was saying bitcoin is dead.

I then bought even more when it went sub $20k and everyone continued to believe crypto was dead.

When bitcoin hit $60k, I sold it all and filled my altcoin bags. That was about a 2.5x for me.

It wasn't the absolute best strategy. In hindsight, I should have done 50% bitcoin(for security), 30% sol, 10% avax and 10x1%'s into gaming/AI coins. -- This will be my strategy in 2027-2028 in the bear.

But it's fine. The biggest thing in crypto is not to get emotional/greedy.

A 2.5x is fucking good. All these people talking about 10x and 100x gains are full of it. Yeah, you can get them, but you can lose it all too. Avax and sol were NOT guaranteed to survive. Anything can happy. I wasn't really willing to put 100% of my wealth into sol back then.

That's why next time I'll hedge it by still keeping 50% in bitcoin, so even if avax/sol fail before the 2030 bull run, I'm fine. You really NEVER know what's going to happen.

but at this stage, I have my bags full. I stopped buying a long time ago, other than a little trading here and there in memes.

My bags are packed with 6 figures of alts at current prices. :-)

I'm not going to be greedy though. I'm going for an average of a 6x. If I can come away with a couple million I'm happy. The mindset I keep is that crypto is just a bonus. It's not what'll change my life. My business is. Crypto just gives me a boost.

I have exit points for every coin I own in 20% chunks.

When those are sold, I bank 80% in USDT, USDC and DAI.

I then gamble the remaining 20%. And it is a gamble.

It's less of a gamble during a bear, because you can get top 20 coins lower, but, even buying 100% SOL would have been a slight risk. Would you really risk 100% of your net worth if you have a 10% chance to lose it? That's not smart.

I only hold avax, gaming and AI coins now. I don't spread around in different types. I have a couple fo memes, but the bulk of it is avax/gaming/AI. Most of it is in avax now, as I got in at an average avax price of about $26 and will start selling 20% chunks at $170-$180.

The 20% I re-gamble I'll just look for emerging opportunities to 2-4x..

so let's say I make $1mil from avax, I'd then bank $800k and reinvest $200k into other projects.

Then if that $200k 3x's, I'll take 80% of the $600k, $580k, bank it, and gamble the $120k, going for another 2-3x.. And keep repeating that until the last 20% is lost, then just hold it until the next bull, where it'll go back up, or it'll die.

Once bitcoin drops down to.. I've not decided yet, but somewhere in the region of $90k to $110k. Probably 20% at $110k, 20% at $100k, 20% at $90k, 20% at $85k and the rest at $80k.. 100% of the stable coins will go into bitcoin.

That's security money. Even if I get in at an average of $100k and it drops to $70k, who cares? I'm down 30% temporarily, and in fact. I WANT it to drop even more. I'll be partying if it dips to $50k-$60k(although I doubt it).. because..

As I said above, the on-going strategy is then.

A certain % of my income then goes into

50% bitcoin, 30% sol, 10% avax and 10x1% gaming/AI coins until the 2030 bull.

Then for that one.. Probably just keep the bitcoin forever and not risk it again and profit off the sol/avax/gaming/ai. I don't see the point in risking the bitcoin at that stage. It'll just be there accumulating from that point until the day I die. When I need extra cash, I take loans against some of the bitcoin.

Dont buy nothing, wait till market dump hard in 1 year maybe , all this time studying crypto, and then buy a portfolio.
