I am pursuing a project on web SEO but there is one thing I find quite strange that when I check, the annual domain renewal price always increases every year if I choose to pay annually.

The annual renewal price is set, but they often give you a coupon for first year, so not really that weird.

thanks, I didn't know this until recently I looked at this year's renewal price and saw it was much higher than previous years.

Common business practise with most businesses. They will give lower price first year to attract new users.

Hosting sites and subscription websites make their money on renewals.

I want to ask , if i switch to another hosting provider in another country Is the price cheaper?, i rent a domain for 10$ but the current renewal is over 25$

What is the domain ending? .com or what? You can find cheapest registrars on https://tld-list.com and compare renewal prices.

Usually, there’s a discount in the first year, and then the renewal starts at the regular price in the following years. However, if the price increases every year, you might consider migrating to a different hosting provider.

The annual renewal price for a domain can vary depending on the domain extension, registrar, and whether you renew for a longer contract. so mostly there’s a discount in the first year, and then the renewal starts. and also domain name prices can also vary from seller to seller.

Yes, it’s common for annual domain renewal prices to increase over time. Many domain providers offer low prices for the first year as a promotion, but renewals usually cost more due to market demand, operating costs, and provider policies. This is why some people choose multi-year registration to lock in a lower rate for a few years.
