how to market your service without a website?

I had a strange request from a client to market his car rental service WITHOUT a website. this car rental company is small and new.

what i had in mind is using classifieds, myspace and facebook. Google adwords wont work on hubpages and squidoo right?

any other ideas?

How would you get him to the #1 spot on google maps? Isn't it just random what position you get once you register your business with them?

Using that Google Maps like a few ppl said is a good idea. I doubt myspace and fb would do much good but Twitter could help if you targeted people in the area and tweet some coupon codes. If he stays in a vacation spot you could try to partner up with some local travel agencies for some package deals.

First I'd use Craigslist but as someone already mentioned, I'd also throw up a quick Wordpress website that wouldn't take much to do and be more effective in the long run. And it will look good on your behalf and you can do it rather cost effectively.
