Proxies and Potatso

I am using a 4g mobile proxy with Potatso but it loses connection maybe two or three times in 24 hours when I open the app. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Unfortunately using shadowrocket isn’t an option, I cannot purchase it from the app store as my iphone is setup for another country so cannot setup apple pay.

all residential mobile proxies are not stable. it is very good indicator that it lost connection just 2-3 times per 24h... only way to have more stable proxy - is your own datacenter's proxy.

Does the Shadowrocket app loose connection as well?

I contacted SOAX and they advised me to remove the city targeting and just have it set to the country. I am using it to target viewers in a certain country on tiktok so would tiktok detect that the proxy is rotating from different cities and it leads to a shadowban if I take out city targeting?

Try switching to a more reliable 4G proxy provider or adjust Potatso's connection settings. You can also try using a VPN alongside it for more stable connections. If the issue continues, consider apps like Quantumult or Surge as alternatives.

If you don't need targeting down to the city, but only the country, then yes, of course, it's better to remove it.

I don’t see any connection settings only Type, Host, Port, User, Password. If thats it then not sure what changes I can make.

Maybe a real sim card with international data roaming (and that carrier allows unlimited bandwidth plan for international roaming) is the way to go
