Will Chatgpt new search feature kill Google ?

google won't die, remember they provide multiple services and and google ads and search engine is not the only service they have, it will defenetily impact them but they will still there as a company, they get more money through other methods that ads to being honest with you.

Yahoo was the go to for search engine.
Hotmail was the go to for email.
People will just go to where it will benefit them more.
Google search results are rubbish.
The only thing i still faithfully use them for is its reviews, gmail, map and youtube.
Google has already diversified but their revenue still largely depends on their ads, iirc 80%.
They can't fight back with an Google AI search which gives you the answer right away instead of showing advertisers link on top
Most people are willing to pay for their search engine results, not youtube/android or whatever.
Youtube is likely expensive to run.
Google may not die, but they are definitely affected in a negative way.
They have resorted to dirty tricks to squeeze more ad revenue from their advertisers and I've long assigned my budget to social media which sees better results
Even their AI released to the public does not meet up to the expectation, and you can tell how reluctant they are in allowing this realm to grow.
I really don't see how they can get out of it unscratched .

I don’t think so. While ChatGPT is impressive, its still a tool with limitations. Google, on the other hand, has been refining its search algorithms for decades. Its more likely that these two technologies will evolve together, each enhancing the other.

Google is too big to fail and can come up with its own A.I. solutions being on par or better than chatgpt. Therefore I believe google will adapt but it's good that it has some competition right now because it will be forced to provide better services overall.

Not anytime soon. ChatGPT’s search is great for quick, direct answers, but Google is still the best for finding detailed and up-to-date info from all over the web. Google’s been perfecting its search for years, so it’s hard to beat for big searches

I doubt that because Google will still remain king of the search engines. I also heard that ChatGpt was trained up to 2022 unless they are gonna update the database.

Honestly chat GPT is pretty impressive. I was trying to find a way to convert a column in an xlx file with over a million rows into a single txt file and after searching google and numerous attempts using google sheets I asked chat gpt what to do. I just uploaded the file to it and it gave me exactly what I needed. Way better than google in my opinion.

I don't think so but surely it will create a great impact in search engine. We might see search GPT as a great competitor.
Sometimes we need personalised answer and in that case Google might not be a good solution.
