Do Fan Page post still show in People streams

I created a new Like page for a website of mine. It seems that whenever I make a post with it though nothing shows up in the streams of my fans. Am I correct in assuming Facebook did away with this?

I found, if you show the link info it doesnt show up

For standard fanpages, it will show on home page if status update is popular (many likes/comments).

What constitutes popular? 5 likes, 10, 20?

Seems there's a little of the chicken and egg thing going on there, I mean if you post a status update but it can't show up until many people like it, then how can it ever show up so the first people who liked it can like it?

I am pretty sure it will show regardless, but the more Likes and Comments you receive, the better the chance is of it showing up on a user's News Feed when they login (before they click "Most Recent"). If it's not that popular, people who were not online at the time the status update was posted will most likely not see it in their News Feed when they finally do login.
