[Quick Guide] Target US on Tiktok with working eSIM

I'm desperately trying to get on the USA tiktok.
Here's what I've done so far: btw I'm in Japan.

-Got Nord VPN and set it to the US. Everything else below is done on that VPN .

- Bought 'US' eSIMs from aloSIM and Holafly. Both didn't work and when I created tiktok accounts one said I was from Poland and the other one said Hong Kong. They're apparently where the servers are for each company and since I'm not in the US to activate it, that's where ticktok thinks I am.

- Bought another eSIM with servers in the US, Tello, but now ticktock just doesn't have a region. Which is weird because Tello uses T-Mobile servers from the US.

-Also any videos I upload to this new tiktok account. with Tello gets 0 views. Nothing.

Is my device itself shadow banned? But why does TikTok acknowledge location with aloSIM&Holafly but not Tello? They're all eSIMs?

I attached a screenshot of my tiktok account info where they don't display or recognize my region at all. Weirdly enough I get ads for the US. Or at least they seem like US ads. Whereas for example when I made an account with my Holafly eSIM I was getting Polish ads cuz of their server.

I'm actually desperate at this point. Please help!
1. Yes of course your device is known now, the more you try the worse it becomes on your device now. Factory reset your phone before you try again. (Or use another phone).
2. Set language/timezone/region/etc settings all to US. Set billing address to US.
3. use US e-SIM. (you probably did this right, obviously when you do this again, you need a new number now). Set SOS emergency address to US.
4. Dont use mass-used VPNs, they are all detected and throttled-down/shadow-banned (they would work, but reduce your views). Use either your own home internet (which results in a little of your home region in your feed but it doesnt mean it directly dominates your feed), or a good (not mass-used) proxy provider (static residential or 4G/5G mobile). If you use a fake IP, download the tiktok app after you change ip. You;'ll get a download from a different region and it has influence.
5. Location spoofing: it works, but probably reduces your views. There are also some people who disable location services, that also still works, but might reduce views. Here I am unsure. It doesnt stop you totally, but if you get reduced views it will not make you a success and then what good is the location change here.

This method always worked until TikTok recently updated their system where they pull your location from your Wifi or Cellular connection. I've only been able to go viral on residential wifi with the esim installed. But now I am posting remotely and tiktok is pulling my location from my IP address. I know VPN - dedicated IP's work for some people but is there any other fix to this?
 
Give your WiFi SSID network name a non-unique name so they cannot know your location from the network name. Apps have access to this network name. For example if you have providername_1234 as your SSID network name, and its typical for a certain country, they would know it & if you have used your network name on TikTok from another device as well directly (without proxy) they'd know the real IP. Easiest is to solve by using mobile local-SIM internet, hotspotted from another phone with a non-identifiable (=not connected to any location) phone name. (because you'll be using a US e-sim in a non-US country, and you dont want another local SIM in your tiktok phone as you need to keep tiktok on US). You just run the proxy directly on that hotspot phone as well with shadowrocket, so the real IP wont leak anywhere if you hotspot that phone to anything else in the course of usage. And if something goes wrong with the proxy or need to restart that hotspot phone, you simply turn off wifi on both phones until its all properly up and running again.

As long as the connection registers as Residential Secure Wifi on your phone you will be able to go viral on tiktok.

I want to know will this not work better by just using a 4g mobile proxy? I guess will not be possible then to detect. You just need to be from USA right?

tiktok can detect you are using a proxy on your phone, unless you forward the proxy from a separate device or computer but you need to make sure there is no DNS leak

  3. Paid Proxy Apps:
    • Tried several paid apps from the Play Store, including ProxyDroid, VPN Hotspot, Every Proxy, and NetShare, to see if they could handle the proxy routing for hotspot traffic.

The idea was to have all internet traffic routed through the proxy at the router level, so the iPhone would show no signs of being connected to a proxy server. This setup aimed to provide a natural connection experience without any third-party apps or visible proxy settings on the phone itself.

Here’s what was done:

  1. Configuring the Proxy at the Router Level: I configured the (HTTP(S)/SOCKS5) proxy using the Redsocks utility, intending to redirect all traffic through the specified proxy server. Redsocks was set up to use the proxy credentials for tunneling all requests.
  2. iptables Traffic Redirection: I created iptables rules to route all outgoing traffic from the local network through the Redsocks port, which already had the proxy details configured.
  3. Testing the Result: Despite the configurations being set correctly, the IP address did not change. In conclusion, it didn't work, I used a cheap proxy for the tests, but the point was not in it, but in whether it was possible to do “such a distribution of the Internet” at all. If you take a VPN, you can give it away without any problems at all, but VPNs, as we know, cut down on views. I'll also attach some random photos to show you what I was doing.

At the moment, I'm thinking of starting to test mobile American proxies costing from $100 to $200.

The first thing i see is that maybe iptables rules specifically intercept outbound traffic from the Wi-Fi network interface. [
so basically iptables - > redirection rules for hotspot (wlan0) traffic to pass through redsocks

but in general good thing, i will check it more further and try to reproduce with rooted android.

iptables -w -t nat -A OUTPUT -p tcp --dport 80 -j DNAT --to-destination <proxy_ip>:<proxy_port>

2. check redsocks.conf once again
local_ip: 127.0.0.1 / local_port: 12345
3. check the ip, port, login details of socks5 once again
4. recheck redsocks.conf for syntax error, if there are still issues they might block redsocks
cat /etc/redsocks.conf
5. restart redstocks

Bash:
/etc/init.d/redsocks restart

6. verify if its active now

Bash:
ps aux | grep redsocks

7. adjusting iptables agnin

iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i br-lan -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 12345

iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i br-lan -p tcp --dport 443 -j REDIRECT --to-port 12345

9. flush everything and do again

  • check on whoer.net , for the IP and something leaking
  • Proxy might be blocking, try different one

Fallback, would be to use squid (port 3128 , google it before) instead of redsocks .

And yes, good US mobile proxies might be the way to go.

Anothher thing: If you try with squid, important: use the transparency mode for HTTPS and more important HTTP, so that everything gets through.

Also using my android as router ( I do every day here in germany), buy a serious US proxy, then use an app to route this proxy to my android- then after that setup create an Tiktok account, Tiktok then will see not my germany IP, they will see the USA ip (proxy) is that correct? Which android apps to use for this setup and do you can recommend a good serious US proxy seller ?

But there is a problem, does Tiktok when you create an account not need your phone number which is in my case germany ?

Unfortunately, the method did not work for me, when registering, it appears that the country is the United States, but fyp shows my content, I do not know what the problem is, it does not show me any US content

This is a very interesting idea, please let me know if you get it to work, i think it would be very useful. Personally I've had success with shadowrocket + US apple acc + fixed-location 4g proxies + physical US sim card for a long-term tiktok account.
 
can someone please confirm if this method still works? i tried using physical sim and nordvpn before i found this thread and it didnt work at all..
