Maybe 3rd party traffic from blogs? - Semrush wouldn't pick that up as organic
Hidden backlinks? - From what sites could you possibly get that boost?

Blogs like these are getting MASSIVE traffic for keywords about sh*t that doesn't even exist.

I think it's bots & proxies slamming Google with manipulated searches.

I think most of them use Shells, it's temporary(I mean you can keep building new sites like this and still continue to send traffic to the money site), this kind of site won't survive more than 2 weeks max.

It usually comes in formats like PHP, ASP, JSP and lets you execute commands on the server. You can use it to sneak in hidden links or mess with content to manipulate rankings. This is pretty common in iGaming industry. you create new folders or modify files, like injecting SEO spam or setting up fake landing pages to boost traffic artificially. What i understand is that they create a lot of page of the keywords they want. Example the keyword "blackhatworld" they'll create a lot of page containing word blackhatworld like /blackhatworld-1 /blackhatworld-2 /blackhatworld-3 and on to like hundreds or thousands of them. Then all the page will be redirect to the moneysite.
No backlink, fresh domain, but still rank.

The question is could those really rank without anything else?
