Aged linkedin account with zero connections

I got an aged Linkedin account with no connections as I never used it before, I'm looking to use it for the first time to reach out to businesses but chances are they won't want to connect with an empty account, anyone have tips on growing that initial social proof for a new Linkedin account. Need like 50 connections before reaching out to my clients.

I've took the time to make it look as professional as possible.

Join lion groups : just google you will find them, there are 4-5 main ones they connect with you if you send connection request.

So far I've tried searching for people that have LION in their profile. name + LION and sent 14 connection requests, don't want to go over 20 to not risk my account.

Are people in a group I join I will be able to add or will they be called "Linkedin Member"?

When you join they will see you as a member of common group. Why don't to try that first, probably called linkedin member.
