I don't think this is bad seo, is more about performance in your website, instead of hosting the video yourself you can just embed it, but you need to worry for how will look on mobile and desktop devices so website can still be optimized and does't take long loading times and requires more procesing power from the hosting service to keep your website, is all about optimization but be aware that for embeded videos you can't control what people will see or type of recomendations will get once the video is over.
