Exact Match Domain - personal loans

over 10 years ago, I had an exact match domain in a different language than english. It's main key word had 9000 monthly searches. It ranked in the top 10 results for bad credit loans. I would add content and manual links once a week. I monetized with adsense because affiliates in my region did not exist. It made between $15 and $90 daily for 3 years.

Then it started to decline to 0. Was bought by a chinese clothing store website selling counterfeit brands.

I saw it in the expired domain names today and it's little brother too, which did 10% of that revenue.

Would you venture into something like this again today?

You mentioned your domain made decent revenue before its decline—this technique could breathe life into a similar project. My method revolves around embedding custom RSS feeds into your site's metadata, then spreading these feeds across RSS directories to make multiple search engine calls. It’s an easy and cost-effective way to influence SERPs without relying heavily on backlinks.

You can check out the full method in my post. Honestly, if the EMD aligns with a high-value keyword today, I think there’s still an opportunity to monetize it. The method didn’t get much traction back then, but it still works for me. Give it a shot, you might see revenue coming in again.

It's possible to succeed in a similar venture, but the online world is different now. Factors like increased competition, algorithm updates and monetization options should be carefully considered before diving back in.

Interesting stuff! What you meant by "security certificates"? I haven't heard that different certificates might affect the rankings?

SSL Certificates. The one that provides good ratings is wildcard ssl for ecommerce. Yes, this method still works.

I've been using only free ssl's lately - are you certain that paid SSL carries some SEO value?

EMD would work but only for low competition keywords.
