Is this part of the open API from FB? Seems a few pages I went to, they had ads and some got detected in my antivirus and malware programs.

Are these the new thing now? I would post a link but I don't want to get banned. (even thought these technically aren't fan pages).

Yes, I noticed that too. Some "pages" have like a million likes on their website.

You mean like chelike.net (now closed) for example? Viruses.

Not viruses really. I own one and know a few friends who own one.

Its money.

Pure money. :)

EDIT: Own two now :)

Yea, its not viruses
Fun place for visitors and money place for webmasters :D

Agreed. I've seen some that have over 500,000 likes and yet the actual website only has a single ad at the bottom at the page. Surely this can't be making that much money as other methods may?

yeah I own one, just need to see the content a lil better any tips..

I don't have any accounts haha they were all blocked =(

I was thinking the exact same. But i didnt stay on them for long because i thought it was a bit suspicous.
Sorry for the stupid question but when i had a quick glance at the site it didnt really seem to have any ways of making money. How are they making money?

I have 2.5m+ fans and quickly growing on my 13 pages. Anyone know a great way of monetizing the traffic? Pm me if your interested.

i want to know how to promote these type of websites ? By having accounts with 5k friendsd?

That could work. I currently have a few accounts that I can rotate in and out of the page and invite all my "friends" on those accounts. Some of the best ways is to make a viral page by having a clever title or something to actually offer people. Such as a way to change the layout of your Facebook profile, etc.

You can also pay for ads via clicks, and if it's intriguing enough that someone wants to push like to see the rest of the information, they could be brought to something with a higher EPC than your paying per click for the ad space.

If the post seems all over the place, that's because social networking sites are the future of marketing, and there is TOO much to do with it. Whatever you do, you can't really go wrong. But, you will always be leaving a lot of money on the table.

it seems this pages are getting more common, i found one that is full of ads pop ups and trojans, fuckers! how facebook let doing these pages? i dont like them, crap.

Yea, so did I . it was a page tat I saw on a friend's Wall on FB and thought it would be OK to click. WRONG! Started shooting malware at me left and right!!

Just because your malware programs go crazy on certain cites doesnt necessarily mean they are bad.

Anywho, Im gonna figure how to monetize this traffic, surely it can be done
