Today was one of those days that just feels right.

My daughter totally nailed her math test, she scored a perfect 5, not a single mistake!

Yeah, all of that is amazing, but seeing her come out of school with a smile, that’s something money just can’t buy!

Moments like this make me so proud as a parent.

And honestly, with the sun shining, a warm breeze, and the sky that perfect shade of blue, it’s hard not to feel grateful.

Even though I’ve been grinding for 10 hours straight, I’m planning to take a quick 'power nap', just two hours to recharge before getting back to work.

Because, hey, when you’ve got that drive, there’s always something worth putting your energy into.

I’m feeling happy and thankful today, and I really hope your Wednesday’s been just as bright.

Life gets busy, and sometimes it’s easy to overlook the beauty of a sunny day or the pride of seeing your loved ones succeed.

But when you take a second to breathe it all in, you realize just how much you’ve got to be thankful for.

Here’s to the small wins, the big smiles, and the energy to keep chasing those goals.

Remember, every step counts, no matter how small.

Cheers to making every day count and finding the motivation in the moments that matter most!

Let’s keep that momentum going!

If my daughter gets a 5 on the test, my wife will berate me because in my country we have 100 points out of 100

My daughter has just turned 6 and I feel like she is so tired of carrying a huge backpack and coming home at night to do homework until 10pm.

Dance practice on Tuesdays and football on Thursdays.

But at night she always hems and haws while sleeping and dreaming.

I don't want her to be so tired, but if I don't make her look ‘like’ everyone else, I'm worried that she'll fall behind in this society.

That's not funny tho,
I'm sure this is putting too much pressure on the kids,
Balance is the key, too loose or too strict won't get you good outcome in most cases

Yes, friend, typical failed education, where I live people value grades, no grades no good job, no good job no house ....

My parenting philosophy for my daughter is just be happy + grow up healthy, as long as she doesn't get sick or lazy then we can still live in this society.

But my wife is more of the opinion that only good educational resources and good grades can make a child more competitive in the future.

Today was going great.

I took a deep breath and went for a short walk around the block.

I took in the scenery.

That was until a massive raindrop decided to destroy my tranquil moment by freezing my neck.

Your daughter is better than me at math already? :(

Money is nothing with parents' love and care, Lucky your daughter has a wonderful parent like you! Cheers Denz.

Thanks, mate.

Apologies for my English, I was trying to convey that she is over 6 years old. But thanks mate.

I should really learn English, I don't like my English teacher, when I was in secondary school she used to hit me all the time :weep: She said I shouldn't dress like a hooligan.

This is a major issue for parents today @ChrisHasADog, and it’s becoming widespread. Most parents genuinely want the best for their children. However, from what I’ve seen with my daughter and her friends, here’s a small example: 5 out of 10 girls her age attend school in two shifts.
One week, they go in the morning, the next, in the afternoon.

When it’s the morning shift, things are somewhat manageable, school starts at 7:30 am and ends around 1:30 pm. But right after school, they go straight to music lessons, which last at least 2 hours. By the time they finish, it’s already past 3 pm. The kids go home, eat quickly, rest a little, and then by 6 pm, they have sports training, some go to volleyball, others to basketball, gymnastics, etc. By the time they get home, it’s already 9 pm.

They say students have never struggled more, and it’s not surprising. Just imagine how chaotic things become when they have the afternoon shift at school. Kids today hardly have time to play like we did when we were growing up. They don’t hang out like we used to, either.
The biggest issue stems from parents who want their children to excel in everything, being the best students, musicians, athletes, and so on.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not referring to you, of course. I simply related to what you wrote because I see these situations daily. My daughter trained a volleyball for a few months, and it was challenging to manage everything because, on top of all that, she still needed time to study and complete their homework. And where’s the time for their relaxation?

Often, parents push their children into numerous activities, not that they shouldn't have any, but when a 7-year-old has 3 or 4 different commitments, it can lead to burnout and, sadly, health issues as they grow up.

Exactly @hideath, balance is the key!

Yeah, we should enjoy it more @RoiBox

Enjoy life as much as you can.

@awesomewebsites you are so right "no better feeling for a parent than his kids making him proud", it is really something special.

Hope your Daughter keeps getting that perfect 5 in every test. There is no better feeling for a parent than his kids making him proud.

@TheMarquis mate, like it was yesterday when she was still in kindergarten, 5+ years later... Pff! Time passes very quickly and somehow I have the feeling that a lot of people stay in one place.

Thank you mate ;)

Time pass so quick. Enjoy each and every moment. Congrats to your kiddo. Kudos to her parents!

Happy birthday for your daughter bro!!

@Salamouna, almost 11.

How old is she

Life is fast, the lifestyle has changed a lot @Good_Agency_Ads. Everything is rushed, everyone has hundreds of problems and stresses every day, people no longer have time to enjoy the little things, and those little things make us happy.

There is a lot of joy in life and sometimes people complain about not being happy, that's because they always associate joy with money, but joy is always free

Thank you @Mrnewbie ;) Hope you are doing great.

Congrats to the little one. You are a good parent.

It’s refreshing to see a perspective like yours, especially in a place like this. Life’s been hell for me lately, but I hope that one day I’ll find real joy.
