Let's say your subdomain is about gardening, you could write articles on topics like "Top 10 tips for growing tomatoes," "How to create a beautiful vegetable garden," or "Best gardening tools for beginners."
By focusing on creating topical content, you'll demonstrate to AdSense that your website is a suitable platform in which every page you upload has value for their ads and increase your chances of approval.
Generally, the benefit is that you can restore the authority if you put in some work. There are multiple threads about it on the forum. Then you can reapply for adsense.
All traffic through my all websites is monetized with Google Adsense but have never tried to monetize a subdomain. I think it is more than doable but the main domain must be in a good condition (not something that cannot be accepted by Adsense). I think the subdomain can be accepted if the main domain is like a single page with a step that shows that is a part of the subdomain. Not sure too but the domain and subdomain have connection for sure so both must be in good conditions and in a compliance with the Google Adsense policies.
