Greets everyone, semi-newb here when it comes to online marketing. I haven't run a website since I was a teenager quite some time ago, when the internet was a much different place and many people still connected over dialup.

Anyway, I've been working in the tech industry as a system administrator for the last decade or so and have decided to get back into web development and content creation (not the weirdo influencer online video trolling type).

I've visited this forum a bit over the years but never registered or posted. Hoping to find some friends, maybe some mentorship as I get back on my way.

Previously I used to do a lot of web development for internet friends who built and sold websites for a living.
Can't wait to get to know you all. I'll be getting my fiber connected tomorrow and I am planning to build out a little homelab as well if anybody here is into that type of thing as well

I disagree that I will not enhance my skills here, I'm fairly certain that the more time I spend here the sharper my skills will become!

I know what this forum is about, I have been aware of this forum for maybe 15+ years, always been a casual lurker.

My point of bringing up my technical skills was just to give some background. I love learning and I love teaching, so while I dive down the SEO / BHM rabbit hole again I'm sure that the knowledge transfer will go both ways.

Anyway I need to get some sleep, it's about 7am here and I've been up all night doing cable management in my home studio. I just built a new PC and can't stop looking at it.

Thanks for the links. I've read a few of them, but there seem to be a lot of different help pages for newbs here. Hoping to take it all in. I think I went a little gung-ho my first day and got warned for posting in disputes, oh well lol
