Is there a way to setup mailinbox on a server for free or do we need to buy a server.
I don't know if you know but oracle offer a free plan can these work?

I never used free servers for email servers honestly so no idea. I buy VPS from Contabo and Racknerd mostly for cheap like 5$-8$. They work best for us and I have more than 4-5 mail servers right now.

Oracle might not open port 25, you will need port 25 open if you want to send emails from your server.

Yeah makes sense. I will need to look into VPS servers more never used one before, we are basically setting mailinabox on ubuntu right?

Yes on an ubuntu. Try to install it on an Ubuntu 18.0 LTS for stable performance. Newer OS versions act up a little with Mailinabox latest releases.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. I will need to lookup how to set it up.

The warmup tools like Instantly, do you subscribe to a paid plan?
You also mentioned warmup tools I never heard of before and was surprised they offer a free plan.


I'm trying to set everything on a budget since I don't know what I want to do will work or not. Just don't want to waste a ton of money on something unproven yet.

Yes all of the plans I use are paid. Some do offer free plans for you to test them out as of now.

Its easy to setup a normal google search gives you the steps to run to install mail in a box.

It works for sure just depends on how big volumes you want to send and how to load balance the volume with multiple domains and servers to not hit the spam box.

Yeah what you are saying I feel confident it works. I meant what I want to send and stuff I don't want to invest too much into this and find out my idea doesn't work.

I don't need crazy volume max 300-500 emails/day. I assume I can use multiple domain to spread using 1 mailinabox on 1 VPS for such volume?

Yes 5 domains with 4 mailboxes each = 20 mailboxes.

Each mailbox sending 20 emails out= 400 emails a day.

Send 20 cold emails and 20 warmup emails from the mailinabox server.

1 mailinabox server can easily handle this.

How are Contabo and Racknerd with spam complaints? Guess you get some when its cold mailing.

Got kicked from Contabo once in 2020~!
Racknerd has never so far. Our IPs are all green in Talos so we got good reputation due to the volume of warmup done.

yeah.. I did also do instantly and warm and did cold emails. But got complaints so had to move server.

I had a look at these and I couldn't find any cheap options cheapest are $17/mo or something, which VPS do you use? I'm totally new to this so I might be missing something.
