Building Local Directory Site : For 60 Days

i've been off from SEO almost for 1 year... due to focus on my offline business...

SEO changing a lot, but i think Local SEO is still easy to rank, and i think it will not be impacted by Google AI overview...
.
For monetization, i will rent the directory or sell the leads, or commision per sale from local business, but i'm not thinking about monetization now. i just want to rank first and generate leads as much as possible to local business...
.
Then..after i prove how valuable my site is...
Then i can think about monetization....
.
i hope i will update this thread on daily basis to make....

i plan to make my site focus on construction niche, because i believe construction niche has the biggest revenue per sale if i make a sale

I am also planning for the same . But I want to know how would you make a sale . If someone message service provider and close the deal in private. And service provider did not tell you about the deal. Then how will you make a commission. Please clear this . This will help me as well.

if the business become retainer, just give them whatsapp number from you, not using their own number, So you can track the whatsapp from desktop whatsapp...and also track the call to action button using google tag manager / analytics...

or the visitor can contact you, and you make the order to local business partner, but you need to know the product knowledge...

Wouldn't it be more simple to just set it up on a cost per lead?

Less than a commission model, but much less of a ball ache wondering and waiting for them to close deals and then chasing payment - also you get paid upfront?

i think i'm not doing that, i only use my website, and i think the competition is quite low, so i think content only is pretty good...

that is also good, or just rent it on monthly payment... or yearly payment.. no need to worry about how many leads going to the customer

Who knows, maybe directory sites can still work even if the first result is Google Places.
