I know with SEO marketing there is alot of factors that go into this, such as getting backlinks from other sites, having a blog, ensuring your website is crawlable. I please kindly wondered what are the most important factors in getting your website onto the first page of Google for a few keywords please? I know SEO is naturally hard work and a slow process but i kindly wanted to know the process or work it takes to get to the first page of Google please. I really want to share this information to you @robertbanking, SEO every factor matters, you gotta balance up the follow, no follow backlinks, types of backlinks for OFF-PAGE SEO.

and basically you gotta start with ON-page SEO, by optimizing the speed and putting keywords, meta description and then you can start with the backlinks

Unfortunately, I have plenty of pages which are not optimised but I still build links to them while I'm optimising those pages. For example, I order 3 niche edit, there's no point of me waiting till those links are delivered and then re-indexed, instead I work on optimising my pages.
Don't forget, Google changes search intent now and then so you have to rework your pages. I had this when google was ranking companies providing service A and then switched to ranking comparison sites for service A, page optimisation is an ongoing process. Also, you need to update your pages as info around your product changes.
2. As for the software, I mainly use Google itself, i.e. GSC and Google search itself.

Good content is crucial. Regularly update your site, have great site speed and high quality backlinks.
