Reddit automation: Official Reddit API (web app OR script) OR selenium + undetected chromedriver?

Hi everyone, I've seen a lot of contradicting information regarding this topic and I want to settle it down for once.
What's better for automating my posts?
- Official Reddit API web app from a main account and then the bot accounts log in through the web app
- Official Reddit API script and proxy the requests through the 5G proxy of the account you're using
- Selenium with antidetect chromedriver and 5G proxy

Would really help solve my doubts if anyone can give their two cents on this.

Your best bet is iPhone automation or reverse engineering private API

I wouldn't touch selenium in 2024, to much hustle. Phone farm is ok but not an easiest way. Reverse engineering private API - is also a very time consuming way, you won't be able to catch all honepots. Reddit today is the most tough site to automate. What is your goal? If you are planning to automate up to 10 accounts - automate any decent antidetect browser. If more - it's complicated.

All automation tools are detect by reddit, i suggest you do everything manually, hire VA's and let them do the work for you, but you have to teach them first

I think the best idea would be to use anti detect browsers and keeping everything manual. Reddit is a tricky website to automate, personally I wouldn't bother

I created an automation tool using chrome nodriver in combination with an anti detect browser. Is the most powerful way of automating reddit but the only problem is that it cant be headless (it can run on a virtual driver but still can take resources)

I made it to upvote and navigate on reddit

It won't be a point and click type of automation. you'll need to have understanding of http protocol, some coding experience to mimic the http headers and post data.

Selenium/playwright/puppeteer + anti detect is a great combo... You have to keep in mind that Reddit's spam filter is the most sensitive it's ever been so you will face shadowbans no matter what (even if absolutely everything is done by hand).
