I've scanned approximately 150 million channels so far. Among that data I have found 300+ channels that made it to 50k+ subs from 0 within the last 90 days.

they can easily forward traffic from that channel to their other channels or sell shoutouts... Tons of ways to monetize.

Nice share, but not monetized and YT Shorts subs are usually not active on long-form videos which is what makes money. If he sells the channel, I think it's worth around 1k.

I'm afraid posting one short that goes instantly to 264k views out of the blue isn't doable for most of us (their first short posted).

This leaves me with the feeling there's something more to it not just re-uploading content.

yes, in my mind its either promotion from other channels either they are posting to thousands of channels and there are 10k channels similar to this one with 1 subscriber. I will soon find out.
