I'm experimenting in doing some Amazon niche sites and I'm using Amazon Autoposter wordpress plugin in generating the posts and text links.

My problem is in Amazon's link builder, the generated text link includes an invisible image tracking pixel. On the other hand, the text link generated by Amazon Autoposter doesn't contain any image tracking pixel.

Now, will I get credited for the sales I'll make without those image tracking pixels?

Thanks.

Amazon tracks your sales with a tracking-id.

For .com it looks like this: trackingid-20

In the affiliates section you register these tracking-ids, as many as you want.

You can always check if you set it up correctly by clicking on the link to go to Amazon.
Look for your tracking-id in the URL. If it's there you will be credited.

Thanks for the reply.

Yup, I have the tracking-id on my link, I'm just wondering if they also require the tracking pixel to be included in the text link or not.

I use all kinds of scripts like Reviewazon, WPRobot, Amaniche, etc. that fill sites with Amazon products.
These scripts work with the tracking-id...and I'm making money.

So...no the pixel isn't necessary.

Do you successful Amazon affiliates make Amazon links on blogs and people buy through them? OR do you cloak them?
