If you want organic traffic then you'll use SEO. If you want faster results you can use the paid ads method. But you will have to break even somehow so you don't loose money from the paid ads.

The traffic method that I know that is effective but not quick.

It's not easy.

It takes a lot of effort and attention to detail, but it has a long life and it builds a solid brand.

What am I talking about?

I'm talking about Reddit commenting.

I use this method both for myself but also for my clients.

What do I do?

When I have a project, I look at the niche that the project is in.

I pay attention to the website that I'm gonna be promoting and I learn the set of solutions that the product brings to the table.

I then pick apart the solutions and try to think of all the problems and the related problems those solutions address.

Once I have a clear idea of all of these, I go to Reddit and look for subreddits where people talk about these problems.

I look at the existing answers that people propose.

I get the hang of how people talk and I then talk about the issues and I participate without naming brand names first.

I participate by helping the OP clarify their question by asking for details or maybe pointing to hypotheticals.

And pretty soon, I became a legit part of the community by just simply facilitating conversations and then I would find high-quality third-party solutions and discuss those.

And then there will be some interaction and there will be some sort of consensus and then slowly but surely I introduce the brand name of my client's product or service.

And then we discuss the specific feature, and the problems it solves.

You do this repeatedly over a wide range of related problems without being obvious.

You cannot get pushy when doing things this way.

You also have to "camouflage" what you're doing by going on totally unrelated subreddits that you are personally interested in and just participating in those communities.

So when people click on your profiles, they will see that you are a real person, not a spammer because you have different comments in different subreddits and it's obvious that you have different interests.

But this is effective to me because it builds brands.

I'm not dropping .com, I'm not dropping links.

That's spammy bullshit.

You'll get killed for that immediately.

All the stuff that you worked hard for will be gone.

Instead, you talk about the brand.

You talk about the problem and different solutions and how the brand figures in all of that.

Do this in a responsible way.

You don't just fuckin' drop everything in one post and expect everybody to beat a path to your website.

It doesn't work that way.

I think advertising traffic from Facebook / Google / Tiktok... both creates a good signal for Google and is also a way for you to find potential customers.
